    Master Temp 400 after Harvey...

So much for help. Figured someone would know. In any event, got new stuff, swapped it in, a little change, will update later when I have a resolution to hopefully help someone else. Haven't had a chance to deal with it yet in full but what I am thinking now is bad control board and bad 2...

One thing I did not check was voltage going to the ignitor. Prolly should do that before ordering anything.

    Master Temp 400 after Harvey...

Finally got around to looking at the heater, since the wife wants the pool heated for Easter.:hammer: After hooking the electric back up and giving her a go, nada. Blower didn't come on and I noticed it was getting hot. Figured it was seized and it was. Broke the motor free and lubed it up...

EMERGENCY ACTIONS - About to cut pumps out in case of flood

I'm going to use flagstone so I guess it wouldn't be a problem. Would definitely cost a ton more. I've been thinking raised deck covered patio kitchen, bar, and game room. LOL Better stick to my first plan so I can finish this century. :)

EMERGENCY ACTIONS - About to cut pumps out in case of flood

Thanks! It will I'm sure. I'm just glad I didn't start the kitchen build by the pool. I was going to last week but heard about this possibility and put it on hold. I'm torn now on wether or not I should put it by the pool now.

EMERGENCY ACTIONS - About to cut pumps out in case of flood

Yes, I did. Only after the pool was built, never before. LOL We don't usually flood, just the luck of the draw I guess. This time is much worse. Last year was just torrential rain for weeks, this time is solely because of the Brazos River and what happened up river. The pool is on the high...

EMERGENCY ACTIONS - About to cut pumps out in case of flood

I need to get me one of those drones! I went by one of the recommendations above and pulled the 3 pump motors and just cut out the whole booster pump. I also removed the heater and left the filter in place. We were hit on Monday and right now I am the proud owner of an island. My house does...

EMERGENCY ACTIONS - About to cut pumps out in case of flood

I may have to do like that woman did over here and build a levee around my property. Lol Glad to hear you are OK! I hope it stays away as well. I have nothing new to report here, still dry and no sight of rising water but we are in no way out of danger of it. I hope everyone is wrong. I...

EMERGENCY ACTIONS - About to cut pumps out in case of flood

Thanks for the info! Thinking about it, this would make it easier. I'd just remove the pump motors and the heater. The filter should be fine as long as it doesn't float off. Lol. Hmmmm...

EMERGENCY ACTIONS - About to cut pumps out in case of flood

Thanks! And I hear ya'. The pool came last, while I've never had my shop flood, I've already moved other items just in case. I know flood insurance is weird and they do not cover pools and I didn't want to mess with it for expensive tools in the shop, nor in this instance would my homeowner's...

EMERGENCY ACTIONS - About to cut pumps out in case of flood

Man, I keep going back and forth on whether or not to do it now. I did order 6 of those unions above and they should be here Monday or Tuesday. If I take the equipment now I will have no filtration until at least those days. So, I'm thinking these are my options... 1.) Take equipment now...

EMERGENCY ACTIONS - About to cut pumps out in case of flood

I noticed that and when the time for reassembly comes I may do some reconfiguring but you are correct, there will be an issue putting a union on the inlet of the right pump because of the pipe below it.

EMERGENCY ACTIONS - About to cut pumps out in case of flood

So, we are about to have an imminent flood situation thanks to the Brazos river and I figured I may as well pick up the equipment. For some unknown reason the building did not put in unions so I'm about to head out with the sawzall and when I reassemble I will put in unions. Just wanted to...

New member, and my newly built outdoor kitchen/bar

Man, I wish I would of thought of that before buying the studs. LOL, I could probably get it built a lot quicker by welding a frame together vs. the studs with all the cutting and screwing or riveting... 1x1 sticks are cheap too!

    Seriously? Grrrrrrr.... Flooded pool...

I did a CYA fast track. Put 4.5 lbs in a sock, soaked it for 5 minutes and then used my hands to squeeze out all of it. Took about 15 or so minutes but it is all out in the water now. Also added 124 oz of baking soda and 25# of calcium chloride. Will check again in the morning and see where...

Wow... my water was crystal clear and spot on 2 days ago... Here are the current readings... CH - 3.5 (I suspect the cal-hypo has not fully mixed yet) = 260 oz. of 8.25% bleach CC - 0 pH - 7.2 CH - 75 = 630 oz. of calcium chloride TA - 30 = 270 oz. of baking soda CYA - A WHOPPING ZERO! = 120...
