At best, it's subject to one ability to see thru a solution. I hate to say this but I may have to use test strips.

Hi: I have a Taylor K2005-C test kit. I have trouble with the disappearing black dot when testing for the presence of CYA. Is there a better way to test for this pool element? Thank you.

Hi: Why is the FC required for adequate algae control is different for SWG pools versus those using liquid chlorine? Or perhaps I should ask why is CYA levels allowed to be higher in SWG pools compared with the pools chlorinated by liquid chlorine? Thank you and appreciate the response.

My filter is 4 months old. My pool chem is good but I still have dead algae which is clogging it (I think). Waiting for my robot to come and cleans things up. Its should come on Friday.

Thanks Jimrahbe. I need to get my pool cleaner then. I had the thing cleaned yesterday; starting pressure was 8 psi. By this time, the pressure is @ 20. When I put my fingers into the pleats of the filter, I can get this white grime which is touch to clean.

Wanting what folks are doing about cleaning the cartridge filter on the Pentair Filters? I know you can hose it down but are folks let it soak in a water tub with say dishwasher soap for a while before hosing it down? Thanks

Update: I purchased the A20 from Mrs. Mills for $659. Shipped same day. Another reason this is a great forum as I could tell from my conversation that she knows what she is talking about. The S200 was not in stock but she told me the A20 is the same as the S200.

If the S200 is the same as the Discovery, I will call Margert Mills tomorrow and see if they have it at 650. If not I will get the Doheny's as the comments from TFT folks is invaluable.

My own feelings. Like my fish aquarium with oversized Eheim filters and crystal clear water. Now how about the price?
