Your pool is looking great! Mine is finally coming-around, but I'm only able to treat it late afternoon, evening and early morning. My FC was at 17 this morning after adding a couple of bottles of beach, but by the time I got home at 3:30, the FC was at .5. Sun is taking all my FC!!

That brings up a good point, rc. which way is the return supposed to be pointing? I've allways had mine pointing down and away from my skimmer inlet, making the water move in a circular motion. I wonder if that is correct?

A pressure washer works good at getting the **** off the ladder. Even under water. Had to blast the red algae from mine last year.

So, after my FC stabilizes, I'd like to be able to vacuum to waste all of the little particles floating in the pool instead of filtering it through my new unused sand and cart filter, so what about using this particular floc? I'm trying to avoid contaminating my new filter media. Good or bad idea?

Thanks, Joe. How many gallons of bleach have you used? I've only used 14 so far. - - - Updated - - - I added 3 gallons of bleach on the first day, hoping that the FC would raise to 15, but I had no test kit at that time. How soon can you test for FC after adding bleach?

If I take out the sock, will the CYA still be okay to leave in it and let it dry?
