I'm considering a SWCG while replacing my single speed pump with a VS pump

My background is I've been following this forum's advice since 2014 when we had our pool re-plastered. We changed none of the equipment at that time and have had minimal issues. I've been advised by my pool guy (he only opens, closes and repairs stuff for me) that my single speed .75 HP pump...

    Pump Replacement Recommendations

No automation. My pool guy will do the installation. He suggested a Pentair and thought a 1.5 HP pump would be sufficient. Do you believe my pool size is too large for the 1.5 HP. I have a robot cleaner and don’t use the pump for anything but filter/circulation.

    Pump Replacement Recommendations

My single speed pump motor seems to need replacing. It stopped working on Sunday. My pool guy (I only use for opening, closing and repairs) said the capacitor (?) is bad. He did something to get the motor going again, but said I'd have to do it every time I turned it off. He also said the...

The funny things that break over winter

Had the pool opened on Tuesday. Really glad I opened earlier this year because the water was clear for the first time ever. Ran Erskine (our robot cleaner) over night. Dirt is mostly gone, water is balanced, just need to throw the solar cover on and wait for the water to warm..... That is...

    Opening Day-Need a sanity check

I woke up this morning to go test and I found the stupid in line chlorinator must have cracked over the winter and was spraying water out all over my equipment pad. I didn't bother to check last night to see if the valve was closed and it must of filled up with water and built up enough...

    Opening Day-Need a sanity check

I specifically asked him if it was Cal-Hypo. He kind of looked at me funny and I decided to ask if it contained stablizer. He said it was stabilized so that is why I figured it must be dichlor or trichlor. My understanding is that Cal-Hypo is unstabilized, but I might be wrong.

    Opening Day-Need a sanity check

Had my pool guy come take off the cover and start up the pump and filter. I only have him open and close for me and I take care of balancing the pool using TFP methods. I made the mistake of waiting too long to open and have a lovely green pool (mad at myself for not opening in mid-April)...

New Pool cover - Use Old Cover As Template

Raynor will as well, but they only worked through the local Leslie's store. That wasn't an issue and I received a 30% discount. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
