    Will water pressure keep my liner from lifting?

    I would like to make my AG pool deeper in the center by about 8 x 8. Instead of a gradual slope, if I made it a straight drop off of approx 18 inches, wouldn't the water pressure keep the liner in place?

    Can I leave a AG pool with no liner all winter?

    We are replacing the liner in our 18' round metal AG pool. Must we put the new liner and water in it or will the approximately 3 feet of more of snow we will get be okay until spring, then install the new liner. The pool sits on all sand.

    Digging A Deep End

    I am wondering if I can leave a 1.5 ft ledge around my 18Ft above ground pool and then instead of a gradual sloping, can I have a sharp drop down 20 inches? I will allow 3 feet by the ladder before the sharp drop starts in the pool. I have purchased a 18' 20ml expandable liner.

    Placement of Pool heater, pump & filter on ground.

    My above ground pool is partially underground by 2 feet. At what height does the heater, pump/filter need to be to operate properly? Does it all need to be below the skimmer, or can the heater be situated only 2/12 feet below the top of the pool?

    Is a bottom drain a good idea in above ground pool?

    I am about to install a 18' x 52" above ground pool. A pool builders tells me to install a bottom circulate drain when installing pool. Is this helpful in keeping it clean? And how do I winterize it? I live in Manitoba, Canada.
