We have a neighbor that is having their pool plastered today. The builder told them they will acid wash it right after the plaster and begin filling it. Doesn't plaster usually need to set for about 24 hours before the acid wash and fill?

I’m obviously not familiar with any of this, but thought there may be some trick. The mood settings have some great colors that I would love to get the pool to stay on. Who knows, but definitely not me.

How is this useful or helpful?

Is there ANY way possible, be it a hack, add-on or any other way, to choose a color on Pentair lights, other than the 5 color that are in the app? If you use any of the 6 mood presets, clearly there are colors and blends there that I see, but no way of selecting them. Thanks in advance.

The back side of the pool is a planter box and that’s where our sheer descents are as well as the palms I’m concerned about. What if I ran the heater to hear the water to 80ish degrees and leave the pool on? Would that provide any additional heat in the cage area from the steam that it would create?

This is our first pool with a cage and we have some freezing temps coming in the next week. Does the cage help against freezes and frost at all? We have a couple of Christmas Palms that I’m concerned with, so just trying to get an understanding. We still plan on covering them to be safe...

Any chance that whatever caused this, might have done damage elsewhere? My gas heater is probably the first thing that may concern me.

Thanks for all of the help. I believe this was due to the wind direction at startup. It blew the initial unburned gas toward the spa, and it appears the cage kind of held it in with the wind. We’ve smelled nothing since, though winds shift the same direction this weekend, so I’ll try again to...

Ok I just went onto patio and didn’t smell anything; on the patio or by the heater. My guess is the initial gas small drifted into the cage/patio area and that’s what we kept smelling last night.

I’m running it again right now to see if it smells like gas again. I did smell gas right when it fired up (standing by the heater itself), but then it went away. I’m going to go inside for a bit and then come back out and to see if I smell it then, last we did last night.
