Woke up yesterday to this stain. Assumed it was organic so I pushed CL to shock level (CL31, PH7.6) but the stain isn't going away. Always used TFP pool method so never introduced any metals. Any suggestions on how to remove it?

Now that you mention aeration and I don't list it on my equipment list because I'm a bit embarrassed that I have it, but our pool has a ozonator on it and I run it. Maybe that is causing an aeration issue, also the pool is only 3 years old maybe being newer is causing some PH rise?

I need to raise my borates from 30 to 50 from splash out etc. Can I do it with my TA at 60? Its taken me so long to lower it from 70 to 60 and the main battle I have with my pool chemistry is to hold Ph so the lower TA would help.

Thanks for the advise! He tested FC this am. it dropped from 20 to 17.5 overnight, we pushed it back to 20 and will re-test at lunch. He also tested CH again and came back with 360? Don't understand that drop maybe just a testing error between the 360 and 380 result??

Tested CH 380. FC dropped from 20 to 13.5 in a few hours added Chlorine to push FC back to 20.

Those are our test results today. I didn't do CH test today I assumed his calcification issue was from PH being neglected for a month in a pool thats 5 months old. New pool constantly climbing PH.
