OMG - What would you do / say ??

So... I bought a new AGP in January from The Pool Factory. I did not factor in a few measurements to one side and a couple other reasons and long story short I am trying to sell it. I list it on CL for almost half off since the restocking fee and shipping and having someone other than myself...

    More leveling....sigh.

We are getting ready to dig to seat new pavers and dread it :(. We have a lot less than you to dig so I feel for you. The leveling is the hardest part and normal to be the biggest pain. After that is it should be clear skies. Good Luck.

Above Ground Pool Brands - Suggestions

Hello all, I would like some suggestions on Brands of AGP's. Please exclude INTEX brand as that is what I currently have. My INTEX is still ok after three years but would like to upgrade so that I have a better piece of mind that I don't come home one day to flooded yard. I just put up a new...

    9 x 18 Intex Ultra Frame - Underlayment Questions

Year three, all is still good. Thinking about upgrading though..... I say this because I have read that the liners in these Intex pools can last several years but I really don't want to chance it since I just put in a new storage shed nearby and would hate for something to happen. I would like...

    9 x 18 Intex Ultra Frame - Underlayment Questions

Year two and the legs have not bent. The flat part of the legs are sitting on the wood base, it is more the rounded part of the leg going upward that is off the side that you are seeing.

    9 x 18 Intex Ultra Frame - Underlayment Questions

Sorry it took so long to respond. Yes, I had to dig a little into the limestone so that the footings were level with the insulation. The insulation is going to sink in about a 1/4 inch after pool is filled also. I found the 2650 to a good size. If you have the money to spend get the 2650...

    9 x 18 Intex Ultra Frame - Underlayment Questions

After the pool was set up and the pumps attached, you can see how the footings were placed. In the image you can also see that I used the cheap blue tarp that came with the pool over the pink insulation and then placed another heavy duty tarp on top of that. So it is limestone, HD tarp, pink...

    9 x 18 Intex Ultra Frame - Underlayment Questions

I first put down the heavy duty tarp. On top of that I put down the pink 3/4 inch foam insulation and taped them together with gorilla tape. In the first image you can see how I pieced them together and then in second image it shows how I put more tape on each seam. It is a good idea to place...

    9 x 18 Intex Ultra Frame - Underlayment Questions

I got the pool up and running May/June 2014, had surgery shortly after so never had a chance to get got back here to finish telling about my setup. I filled in the pitted areas with more limestone gravel and tamped it down. Getting the ground even was no fun. I eventually used to different...

Intex Cover has holes - is this ok?

The Intex cover that came with our 9 x 18 AGP is very thick(which is nice) but I notice it has holes in it(intentional ones). I thought winter covers didn't have holes in them. Is this not the winter cover I am supposed to use? It is not a solar cover, I have one of those too by intex.

    Limestone Screenings Question

I found #10 Sand, which is also known as #10 limestone, at the Rock Yard. I had 3 ton delivered and decided if it was too much I have a lot of other uses for it. I am adding on to the driveway so I used some as base. I hope to complete the leveling today if I don't tire out first.

    Limestone Screenings Question

I need to fill in a couple of small low spots(2 inch deep) on my leveled surface where we had to pull up a root. I cannot keep re leveling the whole 24 x 15 area just because of small pits caused by roots and rocks or I will be digging to china all day long. My first thought was to use the...

    Intex pool set up, help?

Did you all place tarps both under and over the pink foam? I have planned to place a heavy duty tarp under the foam and use the one that came with the pool over the foam, but would like to know if anyone has a reason not to place one over the pink insulation.

    9 x 18 Intex Ultra Frame - Underlayment Questions

I went to Home Depot this evening and bought the pink foam, boards for legs(had them cut to 15'' length while there) and gorilla tape. I also picked up an extra heavy duty tarp to put down on the ground instead of the one that comes with the pool. I will use the one that come with the pool...

Thinking about using 12'' x 15'' x 1.5'' boards under feet and sink them 1 inch into ground leaving half inch above ground. Then use the 3/4 pink tongue and groove Insulating Sheathing under the liner. I am wondering if the two will level out together ok or not. I don't think I should make...
