Perfect timing, will be getting lots of rain next few days

Karen, We love the mini set also and thought the kids would love hanging out there too. We were wrong, the kids were in the pool all day. It was a favorite hangout for the adults though.

Yeah, not too happy. They didn't do the acid wash as good as I liked. :( When they come out to do the chemical start up, another plaster guy said to have them do an "acid stack" where they put the muriatic acid in a steel tube right on some of the more blue spots. Hopefully it will help. He...

The pic was while I was working in Surprise. I live in Litchfield Park just West of Luke AFB. My house got less rain, but still helped fill the pool a little bit. Pool almost full now. Took five hoses to fill 32,000 gallons in about 24 hours with a little help from Mother Nature.

Yippee!! Getting a major rain storm right now! Pool will be all filled up tonight. Sorry Cwes, hopefully the rain won't affect your build too much, they will pump out the water.

We actually have 5 hoses going right now. We would really have a watch-the-pool-filling party Sat. if we just had one hose. :)) Will post pics of the rest of the pool soon.

And we finally have water filling the pool!!! Just in time for the pool party this weekend. Having some out-of-town guests this weekend. Was afraid that it was going to be a watch-the-pool fill up party but plaster company came thru at the last minute.

We also wanted to have a volleyball net, but we had a problem as we have a slide, rock, and pedestal on one side. So we made these niches at shotcrete: Had plaster put in 1 1/2" female adapters on both sides of the pool: And for $12 worth of PVC pipes, we now have an in pool volleyball set!

Passed inspection yesterday. Plaster going in today.

Getting close to plaster, final inspection scheduled for Tuesday. Have a question. What is a good sealer to use for flagstone. We just have a small section off the waterfall pictured below that has flagstone. Will be using an SWG. Also heard that it is best to seal it when it is cooler?

The umbrellas are only available online and in 4 different colors.

My wife started getting some plants yesterday. Lots of planting this weekend! Tiles are going on the roof today.

Roof awaiting inspection before tiling. Umbrella just came in from Sam's Club. 10 foot umbrella with Sunbrella fabric on sale now at Sam's for $89.98.

Nice design. Would nix the ozonator or UV light. Not needed for outdoor pool. Look forward to following your built.

How old are your kids? Kids do grow up fast, they and you may not use the shallow end much when they are bigger. Consider a fence until then. Kids can drown in shallow or deep waters.

I also absolutely agree about the benefit of being able to schedule the subs on your time. One of the biggest complaint from one of my friend who just finished her pool with a PB was that she never knew when any of the subs would show up. For those who are busy and not sure if you have time to...
