I see it is recommended to use a commercial pump sprayer. I am not a professional and don't intend to buy a commercial sprayer. What type of sprayer would also work?
My salt level is slightly out of range (3000) but still within range for my SWG (not showing low salt on IC40). I'll be closing in about a month, is it a waste to add 40lbs. of salt now? Will I just lose it all over the winter? Should I just wait to add when I open up next spring? I will...
I would stay away from the iChlor30 and get the intellichlor IC40 or IC60 if you go with Pentair. Their warranty is 2 year if self install and 3 years if installed by professional. I have been very happy with my IC40.
About 1-2 degrees an hour. I'll kick off the heater at around 7 in the morning andy by 12-1 its at a good temp. But once Lat Aug/Sept hits, you will need several more house because of how cool it can get overnight.
Not sure if this helps, but I am in Central NJ and my gas bill for July was $31 (for the entire house) and I used my heater on weekends only. I also have gas stove, dryer and water heater, not sure what the breakdown is between all gas appliances.
You mentioned raising your CYA. Depending on where it's at, you might be better served waiting until after you finish the SLAM process so you don't have to maintain a high Chlorine level (during the SLAM process)
Yes, it does. It's sold as a low-budget yet efficient pump. You sacrifice features for price, but I bet you paid just as much as a good VS pump anyway.
Taken from their brochure here
I think he is talking about the XE pump. I have this pump and unfortunately it's very rudimentary with limited scheduling capabilities. You can not control various speed and times (even via automation). As described above, you can set up to 8 different speeds in 4 hours/ 8 hour and 12 hours...
I know exactly what you are going through and had the same experience. I ended up buying one of these suctions handles to give me leverage underwater. Still very tricky to do but basically I would engaged the light fixture into the lower latch then push the light into place and somehow hold on...
I’ve used spare piece of vinyl that I had when I replace liner and used underwater glue (the one that is made for repairs. Worked really good. You can get small pieces from local pool store to.
I am going to assume you read that everywhere but on this site. You would never see anyone recommend a IC20 for a 22K pool on this site for sure. You would be much better served with at least the IC40.
If you do it at closing, you run the risk of having a pond if you open too late when it gets warmer. Closing with no chlorine (even if cold) is not a good idea in my opinion.
Did you ever get the screw situation resolved? From what I understand, Marine grade stainless steel 316 is what you want. I found online that sells it by the piece.
