    Can’t find my robo vac

Don’t really see the point of slamming without a working pump. Only used the TFkit the other day for fun. Wanted to see what the CH and FC were at

    Can’t find my robo vac

Backstory: pump has been down since opening, lots of algae, been trying to help it not get worse by adding shock everyday and brushing+scooping. I finally put my brand new Aiper scuba s1 in yesterday because I thought the water was clear enough at this point. Well it blew up lots of cloudy...

    Should I raise my CYA?

Thanks. I will probably switch over to liquid chlorine instead of calhypo soon. The pump won’t be in order for another 2-3 weeks I’m estimating. Been using a submersible pump. I have a robo vac and I’m scared of throwing it in. Will it get contaminated with algae, and cause issues later on when...

    Should I raise my CYA?

Pump has been broken since we opened the pool. The pool was dark green at opening. Still waiting on someone to come look at the pump to replace or repair. Used my test kit for the first time tonight. Should I raise my CYA to help the free chlorine? Been adding about 650 g of calhypo...

    Should I use submersible pump

Part of the lease agreement. I know some people get a discount, or the owner pays for the pool to be maintained professionally. Every agreement is different I’m sure.

    Should I use submersible pump

How long do you suggest I run the sump pump for? All day?

    Should I use submersible pump

I can’t see the bottom of the deep end, but the leaves seem to be mostly on top. I have a brand new robo skimmer too. Do people put skimmer socks in the robo basket? Maybe it’ll help catch the finer particles

    Should I use submersible pump

I do. Brand new, just received it today. Wasn’t sure if it was safe to put in? Aiper Scuba

    Should I use submersible pump

I’ve been scooping everyday. It’s gotten better, but the deep end is still green.

    Should I use submersible pump

My pool pump is down after opening and not sure when it will be fixed (I’m renting). The pool was a swamp upon opening. Been adding shock everyday (I know this isn’t TFP recommended. I have a very particular landlord. I figure I will deal with the calcium hardness later when the pool is up and...

Should I just pour out liquid chlorine into the pool while my pump is broken to prevent the pool from becoming too green?

Thanks for asking this. Took the cover off yesterday and going through the exact same thing.

Order from TFTestkits.net into Canada (Step-by-Step)

in case this helps anyone, this is currently what the VAT and Duty fees are on my order for the TFPro salt and an extra test tube. I’m sure this will continue to fluctuate and change as the tariff wars are still going on. I used Shippsy to import (they are also changing their prices in May)

What am I getting myself into?

Well, we haven’t moved into the new place yet, but I booked someone to open the pool tomorrow. My TFpro salt kit hasn’t come in yet. Plus we’re in the middle of packing and moving. Lol… wish me luck

    Aiper Scuba X1 First Use

I’ve been looking into the Aipers as they’re more affordable than other brands… thanks for this review! Hope the robot eventually figures out your pool. Seems like it needs to “learn” for the first little while

What do I need to buy

I am moving into a home with a pool, and have booked with a company to open it on May 8. I am trying to prepare myself. I highly doubt that I will be lucky enough to have a crystal clear pool after opening it. It has a mesh safety cover on, and I can’t see what the water is like. The previous...

Total newbie moving into a home with a pool

I may be getting ahead of myself, and I feel like this is probably something I’m not to worry about as of now, but I’m curious as to how raising the CYA extends the life of the cell? To my understanding higher CYA=requires higher FC. Doesn’t that mean the cell would be working harder to produce...

Total newbie moving into a home with a pool

Are those levels of CYA okay for salt water pool in Ontario? I haven’t seen the pool as it was covered when we saw the home. Going by pictures, I think it is vinyl or fiberglass

Total newbie moving into a home with a pool

Thanks for all of your help. So here’s what I gather. I will get the PB to come open the pool. Once they’ve removed the cover, plugs, and reinstalled all the bits and pieces, I test the levels before adding any chemicals. I know a lot of services do add an initial shock treatment or...
