Question on upgrading Compool cp3810 to EasyTouch and ScreenLogic as it pertains to pumps

Ok, so if I go back to 2 body mode by moving the jumper and resetting, I would still keep my filter pump plugged into the PUMP relay, then set up the Pool mode schedule for circulation and when I hit SPA I can set my Spa temp etc with nothing plugged into the SPA relay?

Question on upgrading Compool cp3810 to EasyTouch and ScreenLogic as it pertains to pumps

Right now my EasyTouch display just shows Auto, then air temp and the date/time. When I put it in single body mode, it didn't ask me to set it up as anything, the instructions said it would just change the P button to Low temp and Spa button to High Temp. Right now I have my Filter Pump plugged...

Question on upgrading Compool cp3810 to EasyTouch and ScreenLogic as it pertains to pumps

Hi Jim, I don't have pool mode in ScreenLogic, there's nothing to turn the pump on or off in the app for me. If I manually start it with the button on the control panel I can control everything with the app, but can't turn the pump off unless I physically hit the button again. Might have to call...

Question on upgrading Compool cp3810 to EasyTouch and ScreenLogic as it pertains to pumps

I don't have an option for pool mode currently. This is for a spa only, there is no pool, so my system is set up for Single Body operation (It's dual body by default for people who have a pool and spa, changed by moving a jumper on the board and resetting). For my system, on my wired Indoor...

Question on upgrading Compool cp3810 to EasyTouch and ScreenLogic as it pertains to pumps

Got everything hooked back up, and the jets do seem to work pretty well without the Booster, not sure if I'll add a 1hp to replace the 2hp or not just in case since it's already plumbed...if I don't I'll have to cap the line because it doesn't have a one way valve. I do have a ScreenLogic...

Question on upgrading Compool cp3810 to EasyTouch and ScreenLogic as it pertains to pumps

No, I removed the old Compool CP3810 indoor control panel and installed the EasyTouch Indoor Control Panel 8. I hadn't thought you could just shove more wires into the COM port, but guess I was wrong. I had thought there were 2 COM ports because there's the 4 screw wire connector, and the phone...

Question on upgrading Compool cp3810 to EasyTouch and ScreenLogic as it pertains to pumps

Hey Jim, Do you know if I'm able to hook more than one thing up to the COM port? I have my Indoor Control Panel hooked up to the screw COM port currently. Initially, as it's phone wire with RJ11 connections, I cut off the RJ11 connector and wired it to the Indoor Control Panel correctly, then...

Question on upgrading Compool cp3810 to EasyTouch and ScreenLogic as it pertains to pumps

Ok thanks, I plugged into the pump port, looks like I don’t need to use the spa connection at all. It also had me move the j25 jumper and do a factory reset to put it in single body mode. Hopefully it all works as intended once I get my filter up and running. Thanks guys

Question on upgrading Compool cp3810 to EasyTouch and ScreenLogic as it pertains to pumps

Ok, I installed my EasyTouch Upgrade for my Compool and have a couple questions. One is, my filter pump was plugged into a jumper marked Filter on the Compool, but the new card doesn't have anything with that name. Options are Pump or Spa, does it matter which I plug the Filter pump into...

Question on upgrading Compool cp3810 to EasyTouch and ScreenLogic as it pertains to pumps

I haven't tried the jets out yet, I'm still repairing my DE filter so that I can run the spa until all my materials get here, and then I have to work out a good time for my cousin who is very handy with pool plumbing and electrical to come help me do things right. Once I minimize the leaks on...

Question on upgrading Compool cp3810 to EasyTouch and ScreenLogic as it pertains to pumps

Thanks a lot, explains why my friends with only pools thought my pumps were overpowered, since they're not used to spa setups. Went with the Intelliflo3 3hp.

Question on upgrading Compool cp3810 to EasyTouch and ScreenLogic as it pertains to pumps

Thanks man, ordered an Intelliflo3 3hp from the site you recommended. Got to tackle upgrading the Compool system upgrade next, hopefully that goes well, then after everything arrives redo the plumbing.

Question on upgrading Compool cp3810 to EasyTouch and ScreenLogic as it pertains to pumps

Hey Jim, I'm looking at the Intelliflo3 1.5hp or 3.0hp models. Not sure I need all the power of the 3hp, it's a 1300 gallon spa and this would be going through a cartridge filter, raypak heater, and returning to the pool through 4 jets after a 5-6ft vertical climb. May try to add a SWG in the...

Question on upgrading Compool cp3810 to EasyTouch and ScreenLogic as it pertains to pumps

I probably should have looked more into the Intellicenter but didn't want to go through the headache of removing the old system and already got the upgrade parts. Total was about $1300 so not too bad.

Question on upgrading Compool cp3810 to EasyTouch and ScreenLogic as it pertains to pumps

Hi all. My wife has been asking me for a while to upgrade our spa so she can control it with an app on her phone, and I saw there is an Upgrade kit for the CP3810 from Pentair for EasyTouch, and then ScreenLogic can be added. I have an inground spa with very old single speed pumps that I am...

Question on Pump/Filter recommendations to replace my existing spa setup

Ah I see, thanks for the clarification. When I get things fixed up I'll try it without the blower to see what happens. Looks like the blowers aren't too expensive and swapping it out shouldn't be hard if I have to go that route. I know currently the jets coming from the filter blow no air and...

Question on Pump/Filter recommendations to replace my existing spa setup

Can the venturis be underground? The pipes in the picture are all I have in the basement, then they go directly underground, under our patio around our hot tub, with no exposed pipes on the exterior. Everything is buried. I assumed if it had a venturi it would have to be exposed to the air.

Question on Pump/Filter recommendations to replace my existing spa setup

I'd agree but my wife is insistent that we have bubbles coming out of the jets, just not the kind of turbulence we're currently seeing. Looking at the manufacturer's manual the blower I have is meant for 14+ jets, with the 1.5hp for 8-12 which might work. Noticed another problem though in that I...

Question on Pump/Filter recommendations to replace my existing spa setup

Just so we're on the same page, I have 2 pumps for the spa. One pump, on the filter, returns through 4 jets. Then the other 8 jets are on the other pump with a blower. I'm unsure if the blower is spliced into my 4 filter return jets as well or not as it's been a while since we've run the jets...

Question on Pump/Filter recommendations to replace my existing spa setup

Hi Poolman, guessing you're right about Century being the motor, one pump has a Waterway sticker on it, the other isn't branded at all. The reason I want to go with new equipment is because I'm not the super handy type and the pumps are 20 years old now. I have had seals and O-rings replaced...

Question on Pump/Filter recommendations to replace my existing spa setup

Thanks Jim. Having a lot of flow through the filter is fine, but when the jets blow so much water out of the spa it's just a pain. Our pool is completely separate, so the Compool just controls the spa. I don't mind having water and some debris heading to the sump pump, I just don't want a huge...

Question on Pump/Filter recommendations to replace my existing spa setup

Hi, first time posting. My wife and I bought a house that has a inground pool and inground spa, completely separate on 2 completely separate systems. The spa is approx 10ft diameter and estimate 1300 gallons. All the equipment for the spa is in our basement. I believe most of the equipment is...
