Should I turn ON my SWG - FC and TA slightly high for 1 week

Title says it all. If you look at my logs, my FC and TA is consistently higher than the range, but not by much. I haven't had the SWG turned on for a few days. Should I keep it off? Not sure if this makes a difference but we've had unusually cold weather (mid 60s vs high 70s) for this time...

Brand New Pool Opening - Chemistry all messed up, what is the order of operations?

Also, not sure if this has anything to do with it, but I've had my SWG turned off for 2 days since I've had high FC, was trying to bring it down and it's also been unseasonably cold and a heavy rain last night. Do any of these factors play into consideration?

Brand New Pool Opening - Chemistry all messed up, what is the order of operations?

https://troublefreepool.com/mypool/1x0yER I performed the OCLT and it seems that I don't have any algae. FC maintained at 11.5. could it be just an extremely dirty DE filter? Would it make sense to completely remove the de filter, rinse it with a hose and put it back?

Brand New Pool Opening - Chemistry all messed up, what is the order of operations?

I've got a brand new pool that was installed last year around end of August, so this is my first time opening and using it . My pool jets consistently stop working every single day after about 16 to 24 hours. I know I've got an extremely dirty pool with stone dust from all the cutting of the...

Brand New Pool Opening - Chemistry all messed up, what is the order of operations?

A few other things I should note: The pool company opened up my pool I think did a bad job because they dumped a bunch of chlorine and didnt follow the SLAM instructions. They dumped the following: 2 gallons of 'Mega Super Shock' - 12.5 % strength sodium hypochlorite 4 gallons of 'Pool...

Super Confused About Valves - Returns, Skimmers, and Main Drain

Thank you, this makes sense now. So on normal operation, the Skimmer valve should remain as is, which is in the 3 o'clock position and then the Main Drain valve should be positioned at 9 o'clock. Correct?

Super Confused About Valves - Returns, Skimmers, and Main Drain

Questions: In the photo, the valve directly in front of the pump is pulling 100% suction from the bottom drain. If you turn it 180°, so that off is facing main drain, you will be pulling 100% from the skimmers. - Why would I do that? Is it normal to pull 100% from skimmers are not from main...

Super Confused About Valves - Returns, Skimmers, and Main Drain

Questions: The 3 way valve directly in front of pump suction is CLOSED to the skimmer and OPEN to only the main drain. - What happens if I move the 'Main Drain' valve 90 degrees to the left? The 3 way valve between the skimmers is OPEN to both skimmers but it doesn’t matter as the 3 way valve...

Super Confused About Valves - Returns, Skimmers, and Main Drain

Still a newbie here, only had pool open for a few weeks last year and now I'm attempting to open it up myself. What I'd like to do is use the vacuum to clear out all the debris using the waste function on the filter. I'm super confused here. Where should each of the 3 valves be located so that I...

Newbie to Pool Chemicals - Help me Interpret my Results

I've been reading a lot, following the forums, and completed my 2nd test using the TF-Pro Kit. My pool is only 2 weeks old and last week is when I added the stabilizer. I added 4 pounds ( 1 whole bag) using the sock method last week, but my CYA is still slightly low. Questions: 1. How should...
