Cutting foam base for Intex 15’ round metal frame with pavers under legs

I'm thinking of doing the same. Please post pictures if you can. Thanks.

Freshly Installed Liner - lots of wrinkles. Suggestions?

Looks like my pool. I spent so much time leveling it and prepping the ground, and then as I started filling it my helpers weren't very helpful, and I just didn't notice how bad it was until it was almost full. I thought about draining it and probably should have, but didn't. I thought I'd leave...

    Help with patching under water!

I'll second/third/fourth what everyone else has said. In the 7 seasons I've had my Intex pool I've had to patch it twice, and both are still holding so I guess I did something right. I used this kit purchased on Amazon. The brand really doesn't matter. Just make sure it is for underwater use...

    How bad is this brace?

I'm not an engineer, but I would think that cutting it open would destroy any structural integrity it had. Yes it's dented, but couldn't you just use it "as is". Set them on 4" thick pavers?

Intex Easy Set Pool- shaky legs

Yes. The pool will flex and sway a bit if the kids are active. The legs should find their spot and not move.

looking for bungee solution for pool cover to be used daily

I recommend a solar cover. They don't heat the pool as much as they help keep the heat in at night and on cloudy or windy days when you're not using the pool. If you want the water to warm up, remove the cover and expose it to the sun. I also have trees near my pool and at times I get a zillion...

    Not sure about this

That will be money well spent. I had a guy level my pool site after I fooled around with it for a while and finally gave up. My ground is filled with rocks and roots, and it's a heavy clay soil. The machine made short work of it. What he did in a day would have taken me weekends of back breaking...

Green Intex Pool and Pool Store Directions

Stay out of the pool store! Order the TF-100 test kit, and except for stabilizer (aka CYA or Cyanuric Acid), which you add once when you fill the pool and then only as needed if you add water, the only chemicals you need you can buy at the grocery store - bleach, Borax, and baking soda.

    walmart liquid Chlorine gone?

I got some this weekend. They had plenty on the shelves. Make sure to check the manufacture date code. They obviously don't rotate their stock, because they had some year old jugs on the back of the shelf, but the newer ones were in front.

    Vacuum for Intex

I upgraded my filter to an Intex sand filter and replaced the Intex over the wall skimmer with a Hayward skimmer which includes an attachment for a vacuum. I bought a 20' length of hose from the pool store, and a vacuum head and a pole. It works great. Vacuuming is strictly manual but it's a...

Patching Holes - Gorilla Tape or Boxer Vinyl Glue?

I bought the Boxer repair kit back in 2015 to repair a leak. I used it one other time a couple years later. Both are still holding.

Rocky yard - Intex 15' Metal Frame

Not ideal, but we did it. Dug down about a foot and a half on the high side, and built up about a foot on the low side. It's been like that for seven years with no problems.

Disappointed does begin to describe it...

Don't give up! It's only the end of May. There is still plenty of swim time left this year. In fact, for me it hasn't even started. I haven't even been in my pool except for setting it up two weeks ago. It's been too cold. It's still cool today but at least the sun is out and the water looks so...

Took down to level again still about 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 off level

That's what I did my first year. I was not happy that I had high and low spots. I leveled with the water level the following season and it was much better but still not perfect. This year after not setting the pool up for a couple of seasons, I had to redo the ground due to some minor erosion...

Took down to level again still about 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 off level

I used a water level and got my leg supports all within plus/minus 1/4". I was lazy and bought my water level on Amazon, but you can make them easily enough. Plans are all over the internet.

    solar cover cleaning

I hose off the top of the solar cover while it is in the pool and direct all the water and debris into the skimmer. Then I roll up the cover and empty the skimmer basket.

    Purchased a pool today!

Welcome! Good move on the sand filter. I never used a pad before, but this year I put one down and it did help. As for chemicals, with the exception of stabilizer (aka CYA or Cyanuric Acid), all the chemicals you need you can buy at the grocery store: bleach, borax, and baking soda. The pool...

    Extension Cord Intex

As has already been stated, you can do it, it will work, but it is not safe. No building department or inspector would sign off on it, and I do not not recommend it. That said, something like this will work on a temporary basis. 10/3 Vinyl Outdoor Extension Cord

Setting up my Intex for the first time in three years

I'm so excited, I set up my Intex pool today for the first time since 2017. I didn't set it up in 2018 because we were away most of July, and then last year was very cool and I just got lazy. I actually thought I might never set it up again. But now in 2020 we have the government imposed...

    What's your current pool temp?

Water was 68 on Saturday morning when I drained it and took it down and put it away for the winter. It's small enough that I can do it all by myself, and that's what I've done for the past six seasons. I thought hard about leaving it up this winter, but considering it would be unused and exposed...

Intex Pump upgrade with "Dual Suction Outlets" pool

    Baby Fence Ideas Needed

I highly recommend taking your kids to the local Y and get them swimming lessons. I did this with my kids when they were about the same age as yours are. It's never too early to learn to swim. Group swimming classes are great, but if you can afford it, a few private lessons are worth their...

    Leaving for vacation

Last year I was traveling a lot for work Monday to Friday so there were many weeks that I closed the pool. My pool was very stable in terms of chemistry, so I figured out in advance how much chlorine I needed to add before I left to ensure that my chlorine level would be sufficient until I...

How to find leak in full above ground pool

Well what do you know, I have another slow leak. I followed my own advice above, but despite spending an hour in the pool wearing my wetsuit, no luck. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, it is only losing about 25 gallons per day, so even if I found the leak it might not enough to see dye being...
