I have a 13000 gallon pool and use the Pentair 1hp pump that came with it. I was debating on switching to a variable speed pump too because this pump had no problem cleaning the pool but it almost seems like it's pumping too much current to the pool.

Everything was removed from the skimmer so any water that gets into the skimmer should drain out. I started to worry a little bit since it is plastic if any water does get in it an freezes into little cracks or something. Maybe I'm just worrying too much.

I was opening a 1lb bag of shock(73% cal hypo) tonight over my toolbox because that's where my scissors are and I lost control of the bag but caught it. It spilled maybe 50 small granules of shock onto my toolbox so I grabbed some paper towels and wiped them up and threw them in my garbage can...
