    Just converted to SWG

The only reason I run it a little higher is because of the spillover from the spa. The wife likes it to look nice instead of drips. But I could easily schedule it to run higher a few hours when she is likely to be out there.

    Just converted to SWG

Thanks for the info. I'm probably reading other people's worries too much. Up to 100 it is.

    Just converted to SWG

I just added a Jandy APUREM unit and a PLC1400 cell. The first 24 hours I ran it at 50%, and when I checked the FC it was at 3. I bumped it up to 70%, and now 24 hours later, it is at 3.5. It seems like I should have more than that. I'm running the pump 12 hours a day at 2400 RPM (Max...

Adding AquaPure PLC 1400 to Aqualink

I reluctantly called my pool guy, he informed me that I can just get a salt cell to fit in my existing Nature2 Chlorinator that is compatible with the jandy controller. Seems to have the same specs as the PLC1400 and no plumbing...

Adding AquaPure PLC 1400 to Aqualink

Thanks. I was hoping that adding in the other unit would negate having to run more power. It isn't out of my skill-set, but why if you don't have to. Seems like it saves about $500. But if it is hard to come by the stuff to do it, I completely understand the ease factor.

Adding AquaPure PLC 1400 to Aqualink

I'm looking to go away from the 3" tablets and I'm pretty sure I can handle installing the PLC1400 into my system in place of the current chlorinator. I can see there is a place to add the control board for the SWG in the aqualink RS box. I found an old thread where someone was able to do...

How do I convince my wife this is the right path

Thanks, Signature completed with equipment. I'm thinking I want to just get a SWG and install that in place of the tablet container and cartridge while I do a 70% drain to get the CYA under control.

How do I convince my wife this is the right path

I get them from amazon, where the builder told me they were the cheapest. I have Jandy equipment. Would that prevent me from going with a salt water system?

How do I convince my wife this is the right path

I had originally told my pool company that I wanted salt water, but he said it was "hard on the equipment." So I went with his recommendation.

How do I convince my wife this is the right path

We had our pool finished in November. The builder sold her on the system we have (3" tabs and the Zodiac Duoclear mineral cartridge) telling us that we can keep the FC at around .5ppm safely. We are now 8 months in and CYA is at 116 (according to pool store since I can't test that high) my...
