IAqualink - Setting VSP to different speeds throughout day

My cleaner has a dedicated single speed pump, so do I still have to worry about the above? And despite my request my installer didn’t turn on the spillover function. I may have to do that myself but that is a separate discussion.

IAqualink - Setting VSP to different speeds throughout day

Amazing! This makes sense. Thank you both! I will reset pool speed to lowest.

IAqualink - Setting VSP to different speeds throughout day

Thanks! I have read all the threads related to this but can’t figure out what I’m missing. Hopefully an easy answer!

IAqualink - Setting VSP to different speeds throughout day

Hi- I am struggling with figuring out how to get the pump to switch between different speeds throughout the day. For example, high speed for 2 hours in morning, low speed through day, then high speed for 1-2 hours in evening (just an example which I will tweak). I figured out how to adjust...

    IAqualink Size?

I don’t really know how to program the X10, but the previous homeowner had one button that turns on the heater and triggers the actuators to spa mode. The second button turns on the spa jets and the third turns on the blower. I’ve been reading these posts from JonoVegas about how he pretty...

    IAqualink Size?

I have the Aquapure SWG with the smaller power center (model 6612f), which I believe accommodates 4 relays. My pool is currently controlled by an old x10. Pics attached. I am trying to figure out what size (rs4/6/8) I need and if I have to get a larger Jandy box to make my system all work...

Does this heater plan make sense?

Back for a bit more advice. I decided on a gas heater for the reasons above. Found this deal for Pentair at a local shop: https://www.poolsupply4less.com/Pentair-MasterTemp-460736-p/460736.htm My pool contractor couldn’t believe the price. He prefers the Jandy 400k due to the versa Flo, but his...

Does this heater plan make sense?

I had extensive communication with Marcus Miller at Heat Pump Suppliers...of course he says it will work great. I think I agree in terms of the pool. The spa is a different story...with our cool evenings I just don't think the heat pump will get the job done. Let's say efficiency goes down to...

Does this heater plan make sense?

I do own, it’s an 11.3kw system. I go back and forth every hour on this. Can pick up a Pentair 400k NG for $3.2k. That’ll heat up my 17k gallons (pool/spa) roughly 2 degrees per hour at 80% efficiency. 700 gallon spa will heat up 53 degrees per hour, so realistically only need half hour to go...

Does this heater plan make sense?

Agree don’t need Jandy. I have to spend a minimum of $4k as the old heater is dead. So the heat pump is just $800 more than NG. Then the 2 pump concept is another $1,500 on top (so $6.3k total)…the small gas heater would only serve to boost the heat pump for cold jacuzzi days. I rarely have a...

Does this heater plan make sense?

I have been wrestling with the best solution for a while. Pool is 16k gallons, spa 700 gallons. Old Pentair Minimax just died. I have a large solar PV system that I am trying to maximize. Would like to extend the pool season but also don’t want to sacrifice jacuzzi spontaneity. Options: 1)...

    Next Steps for Old Pumps

Hi! I was just quoted the following: Jandy Aqualink 8 remote system iAqualink app, installed. $4400 Jandy PHP VS pump main circulation, installed. $2400 Jandy JXI 400 btu heater, installed. $4300 I recently had the Jandy Aquapure SWG installed so this provider decided to quote Jandy. A...

    Next Steps for Old Pumps

I was doing more research on pool pump sizing, and from what I've read it seems like I really don't need 1.5hp. Based on my 16k sf pool/spa, do you think 1hp would be sufficient?

    Next Steps for Old Pumps

I appreciate all the advice. The Aquapure is brand new so I wouldn't swap it. I think I can live with manually adjusting the SWG, I still have to monitor the chlorine level so pretty easy to pop into the equipment shed and adjust as necessary. I view the automation's main purpose to allow us...

The Jandy SWG is brand new so hopefully will not be replacing it in the near future. Why is Pentair better?

I thought I could save money on the automation since I already have the Jandy box for the SWG?

    Next Steps for Old Pumps

Hi all- Finally getting around to addressing my pump situation. Photos and details attached of current situation. What do you all suggest for order and product to replace these (or not)? 1) Pool Pump: Pentair WFE-6 1.5hp single speed 2) Sweep: Century .75hp 3) Spa Pump: Pentair Whisperflo...

    Next Steps for Old Pumps

Moved from here. The Jandy warranty guy who just came out to replace the sensor on my Jandy Aquapure 1400 said I would need to add a separate box for automation. My understanding was that I might be able to use the PureLink Power Center that came with the SWG to save some $$? Is he right? I'd...
