I need to adjust my returns for better movement for the skimmer. The other part is I probably don’t run it high enough. I usually run it at 1100 rpm 24/7 unless I’m adding a chemical then I bump it to 2400 for a few hrs. I’ve always struggled with the fine debris on top.

I’m still on the fence with the bettabot. I don’t get much debris in the pool but I do get a fine layer of dust or some sort of debris on top. I was hoping this would take care of it, however it hasn’t performed as well as I expected. I feel it pushed the debris to the side and doesn’t pick it...

I finally got around to putting mine into the pool. how do you handle it with pool cleaners? Do you leave both in the pool or operate them individually? Currently I took mine out to see how this operates but I prefer to leave it in the pool so I don’t have to mess with any of them.

14 days ago her logs reflect 50 cya. Ensure you are testing properly, that’s a 20 ppm difference.

while being on the fence about the product and reading about how great it is, I finally purchased it. Amazon has it for 349.90-70 (coupon) = 279.90 If anyone has been on the fence like me, this might be the right time.

If it’s copper, the only way to remove is to do a drain. I am not sure what your fill water is or what you have added. There’s sequestrates to help prevent staining. Here’s further info and tests to do as well, https://www.troublefreepool.com/blog/2019/01/18/stains-in-your-pool/ How are you...

Are you following the slam procedures? It mentions to test and add FC up the slam level 3-4 times a day. I know you are frustrated and you have come a long way. Do not give up, there’s always light ahead.

I didn’t read the entire post, however if you are still in the slam process your FC isn’t at the slam level for CYA. https://www.troublefreepool.com/blog/2019/01/18/free-chlorine-and-cyanuric-acid-relationship-explained/ You mentioned doing an OCLT, was this completed? The spots you are seeing...

Thank you, I’ve been on the fence with this as I don’t get much debris other than the thin layer which sits there.

Great reviews, how does it handle on fine dust and pollen on the surface? My pool gets some flowers/leaves blown in but it’s mainly a thin layer of material on the pool which I need to use a fine mesh pool net.

    CSI too aggressive (TA)

Are you saying let it be at this point? I was thinking to just increase TA to say 65 to give me a buffer. i was adding acid and dropping it to 7.7 and lower and having it increase but that was obviously too aggressive.

I always hated testing CH and was never confident on my exact numbers. As I just posted our CH from the city seems low but differs from their posted numbers.

    CSI too aggressive (TA)

I know PH and water temperature have a huge part on CSI along with TA. I finally did full test yesterday and realized the TA is 50. Playing with the calculator for the colder temps the water would have been aggressive when I dropped PH to 7.7. Even right now as temperatures fluctuate 7-8...
