    Replacing mastic around flagstone

Thanks. i cry just by looking at it. The deck should have settled by now. The gap (in the pic) is only about 2ft-3ft long and @ the back of the bool. The rest of the perimeter is leveled. Should I still use caulk and not mastic? If I use caulk can I still sprinkle some sand on top for a nice finish?

    Replacing mastic around flagstone

Hi Folks, Attached are rare photos of how mastic can look when someone does not take care of it :-D I just took over this pool after we purchased the home few months ago. So this is not reflection of how I like my pool to look. I got some crazy estimates ranging from $300-$1,200 to replace...

bad match - should I replace the filter or the pump?

They told me that I should not run the waterfall only, If i want the waterfall running I should keep the return lines open as well. I guess you could run the waterfall only for a short period of time (assuming filter is clean and is at normal PSI) but don't make a habit out of it. The worse...

bad match - should I replace the filter or the pump?

Just wanted to update the thread for people who might have similar questions. I kept the same pump but will eventually upgrade to something more efficient. I replaced the pluming and changed all of the valves. We opened up the pipe between the filter and jandy valve to returns lines. It...

bad match - should I replace the filter or the pump?

Howdy, So, our new to us pool came with a A.D. Smith Centurian 2.2hp pump and a Pentair FNS DE filter (48sf). Apparently this is a bad combo as the pump is way too powerful for this filter. My pool is about 12k-15k gallons. Two pool guys told me that I either need to upgrade the filter or...
