I have noticed around my area that there is no real pool cleaning service or anything like that, with the exception of the pool stores. I do not even know if they offer cleaning services. My question is, does this type of business make much profit? Is there any special type of training...

Shaft was pretty hard to turn at first. Then worked it back and forth but still not what I would call easy to turn.

Well, I replaced the capacitor with the one from Amazon above and it still just hums and kicks the breaker. What’s the next step you think?

I can see that. Outside of the money for the safety cover, we just don't want to drill holes for anchors in the new concrete if we can possibly help it.

Well guys, it is going on 2 weeks now since I replaced the cell and everything is working as it should. It looks like this has cleared my issue....hoping I don't jinx it...haha.

So far, so good. I'll watch it for the next day or so and update.

This can be deleted. I was looking through an old box and found a brand new cell. I guess when I ordered a replacement control unit a few years ago, it came with a new one. So we will see if that resolves the issue.

My Jandy salt generator flashes between no flow - low salt and eventually power cycles. I've done the reset but it didn't help. The one thing I haven't done is clean the cell. Would that cause this issue? The cell is probably 7 years old. Would a cleaning work or should I order a new one?

What about just continuing to the run the pump as usual? If the water is moving, it won't freeze in my area, I wouldn't think. I could be wrong.

The safety has been thrown away now but some of the tears were actually around the straps. But the anchors for that cover are gone as we had a new pad poured. I may end up putting the tarp style back on and just getting bags again. I'd rather just leave it uncovered if possible.

The cover we used after our safety cover tore was the tarp type with water bags. It came a freak heck storm last year and it busted every water bag we had without us knowing. This allowed the cover to fall into the pool and it became a MESS to clean out. This is actually what led us to think...
