    Buildup under waterfall

Hello! With the vast knowledge contained in this forum, I am hoping someone can help me :) I have all this white buildup under my pool on the tile and grout. I tried a pumice stone without much effect (granted I wasn’t scrubbing super hard). How can I clean this and what can I do to avoid it...

StoneScapes Mini Pebble, Puerto Rico Blend Small and Touch of Glass

I don’t have an answer for you but rather wanted to say I am here to ask the same question and am also in Mission Viejo! I know we are considering the hand cast Puerto Rico blend glass beads for sparkle but hadn’t considered smoothness until I started digging around here. Curious about who...

    New Build - Complete

I am considering doing something similar. What size sheer descents were you looking at for $850? Are they straight or curved? Thanks!

    Lighted sheer descent examples?

We are finally at the part of the process where we have to come to a final decision on the water features that we want for our pool remodel. Our pool is freeform and we are wanting to do about a 5-6' sheer descent on a convex portion where the wall is raised about 2 feet above the waterline...

    Contract examples?

We did read it, but just didn’t realize how simplistic it was and what issues would come from it. It seemed reasonable at first, but now that things are coming up, we are realizing that many details are missing. Without having ever gone through this before, we didn’t know what issues might arise.

    Contract examples?

Hello all! It was pointed out in another thread of mine how important the contract is to the process, to protect both the customer and the PB. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share examples of their contracts (with PB name and any personal/identifiable information redacted of...

How often did your pool builder show up? (and contract issues)

To someone who doesn’t know better, our contract looked reasonable but now see that it should be a lot more detailed. I will start another thread to discuss further. Thanks for all the help.

How often did your pool builder show up? (and contract issues)

Could I ask which part of California you are in? I’m trying to see if we are using the same guy :(

How often did your pool builder show up? (and contract issues)

Thank you for the suggestions. Most of the concerns have been voiced through text message but I think we will do emails as well just to cover bases.

How often did your pool builder show up? (and contract issues)

We recently went to a showroom to look at samples for tile and pebbletec and the person working there mentioned that our PB might be retiring soon so even if our pool doesn’t work out, leaving him nasty reviews may not do us any good :( This is all so frustrating.

How often did your pool builder show up? (and contract issues)

Wow, this is terrible! I’m fortunate that I have people in my household who know what to look for because I would be at the mercy of the PB if I was the only one dealing with them. Isn’t that the point of a PB? You pay them to make sure all the work is done properly and to know what they are...

How often did your pool builder show up? (and contract issues)

I think more than anything, I’m wondering how often someone in charge showed up to supervise the work. It feels like we keep having to ask this guy to come and see what’s going on, especially when a couple of things have looked wrong. Payment schedule says first $10k due after chipping, coping...

How often did your pool builder show up? (and contract issues)

We chose our pool builder because the price was slightly lower than the bigger name guys and he said he could get it done sooner (other guys were a few months out). He had very few reviews but is a smaller name and we like supporting smaller businesses. The reviews were mixed, but so were the...

    Ledge lounger and depth

I know that I want the depth of the tanning ledge to be 9 inches. I wouldn’t mind being wet, I would just prefer to have either just my feet wet or most of my lower half wet, not just my behind. Trying to determine if a lounger is the way to go or just an Adirondack or some similar chair.

    Ledge lounger and depth

We are putting in a tanning ledge and I was wondering about the depth in relation to the ledge loungers. We are thinking 9”. If we get the ledge lounger, does that mean your butt is underwater while the the rest of you is drying off? I don’t think I want just my butt and feet to be wet! 😂...

Difference between Stonescapes Puerto Rico Blend and Touch of Glass

Thanks for the input. We are also looking for a pool look, but deeper blue. I think we will like seeing the white on the tanning ledge over the blue, so I think we will stick with this as well. Very helpful!

Difference between Stonescapes Puerto Rico Blend and Touch of Glass

Looks beautiful! Is the blue the shade you expected? I think we might want a little bit darker blue so this is good to see.

Those are the ones I need to choose from also! What did you decide on? I need to make a decision this week. If you have any pics to share, it would be much appreciated.

Difference between Touch of Glass and Puerto Rican Blend?

How did it go? Happen to have any pics? I need to choose something this weekend. Thinking aqua white with hand cast beads but not sure which blend. TIA

    My first pool

Bought a house with a pool even though I didn't want a pool, but couldn't pass up the house, so here I am! The pool was pretty neglected so we are in the process of redoing it although busy season is causing a lot delays. My co-owners know a little about pools as they had one in a prior house...
