Just ordered the Active20! but i'm not sure if the warranty is the same as the Nautilus plus or worse. :/ Active 20 is $659 shipped and Nautilus Plus is $669 shipped.

Is there a big difference between standard Nautilus vs Nautilus Plus? Worth the extra ~$100? Just trying not to buy these extra features if I really wont use them. I'll most likely just set it and forget it..

How soon can I retest pH after adding ma? 15min?

Sweet I'll try that. And yes that's one of few that haven't been used up since I bought the kit. Its been really stable at 7.6 for 2 years. I used a lot of pucks to raise the cya so could that be the reason why pH rises so much?

8.0 is the highest. You're saying it's probably way over 8.0?

So I tested the tap water and it's showing about 7.0 is that about right? Drops can still be bad?

PH drops about 3yrs old. Reason why I question it. I've checked every time and it shows the same results. I'll check tap water ph and see what it says. Thanks scon36

So I've been trying to reduce my pH level if 8.0 by pouring in the amount of muratic acid the pool calculator suggests. For some reason, the level will not drop. Can my testing agent be bad?

well I guess I'm actually turning over more than 50% of the water over the winter.. would algae eat up CH as well?

Is it common to have low CH constantly? I seem to have a lot of trouble maintaining CH. This year I started out with around 90 but I'm pretty sure we closed around 200. Seems like every year I have to add a butt load of CH at the beginning of the year. My pool is not covered over the winter...

You should be able to make something work at Home Depot's pvc pipe section.

if your tired of being frustrated with the pool, get a tf-100 or k2006 test kit and get your own test results.

Are you sure the 30,375 Gal is correct? I had to play with the pool size until the chemicals added = chemicals measured according to pool calculator.

I'll have to remeasure but i think it has the same dimensions but only 8 ft deep. im not sure about the exact gallons but 11k was what worked out for me when i was figuring out the chemical quantities to pool size. I would like to resurface but not sure how to since it will require a drain...

have you tried raising fc? I thought that there is a disclaimer saying that the charts are just a rule of thumb and it may be different from pool to pool. try keeping it at a higher fc level. it couldn't hurt.. it may be possible that your cya reading is off? thought i read somewhere that it...

have you backwashed yet? if not, then there's your reason why your not seeing much improvement. keep shocking and keep filtering at your normal PSI range. i wouldn't backwash when your fc is high since that will be wasting chlorine.
