Pump not filling up with water

It was like this the day I opened the pool. The filters are clean and the cartridges are on the 2nd season. The whole setup is only a year old. I do have replacement cartridges I may swap out. I will add this as the next trouble shooting item along with lubing/replacing o rings and gaskets...

Pump not filling up with water

When I opened the pool this year I replaced the gaskets on the wide mouth skimmer. I did notice a few of the screw holes on the skimmer had tiny hairline cracks. Pool installer probably tightened too much. I have no leaks on the outside of the skimmer. Would this be the cause if a suction side...

Pump not filling up with water

Water line about 3/4 up to the skimmer. The weir door is not as flat as it was so seems to be working better but did not solve my water level in the pump.

Pump not filling up with water

1/2 way up the skimmer. Not sure if this is the reason for the pump no filling completely with water. RPM's at 2000. Was thinking the pump is too strong as it's pulling the weir door down too much. Tomorrow I'll add a few more inches of water and see if that helps with the water level in the...

Pump not filling up with water

Pool places are so backed up to send out a technician it's crazy. My weir door on my skimmer almost lays flat in towards the basket. Is this normal? When I push it up water gets sucked down fast before I let it go.

Pump not filling up with water

Received the new paddles are they are no different then the ones I have. These valves are just not air tight. Anyway I am positive the valves are not causing my pump problem. I think the pump may be the issue. I have a ticket into Hayward and hopefully they will either give me some suggestions...

Pump not filling up with water

I have to be honest I'm not very happy with any of the Jandy valves I installed. I do not think they are airtight and supposedly according to Fluidra some valves were shipped with the non-posi paddles. They are sending me replacement paddles that are supposed to be the posi seal ones. I'm not...

Pump not filling up with water

Pool pump is just about level with the pool water. Filters are clean. Pool is only open less than a month. No air bubbles at return.

Pump not filling up with water

RPMs don't matter. Right now it's filled up with just maybe the size of a mayonnaise cover air bubble. 3 days ago it was filled up pretty good with just a large bubble at the top but yesterday I cleaned out the basket and when the pump started this morning it was about 80% full with water. I...

Pump not filling up with water

Thanks for the heads up. It's just a short video showing how much air is at the top of the pool pump basket. It's filled up around 90% with water

Water level never gets higher but sometimes drops much lower

Pump not filling up with water

Pump is running quiet. Filter is maintaining pressure and not bouncing up/down. When I open the bleeder valve at the the filter no air comes out, just water. Pool lines are burried but did it myself in July last year. Didn't pressure check the suction side but I think I would have seen dirt in...

Pump not filling up with water

AGP installed last July. Opened up middle of May and cannot get the pump to stay full of water. I checked everything. Removed all unions connections etc. changed all o-rings even though the o-rings were good, lubed everything etc. Changed the pool pump lid o-ring as well. Did the water test...

    Follow up on Jandy Valves

Last year I had ball valves and needed to disconnect the union connections at the heater and move the heater a bit to blow out the lines in the heater. This year I installed two 3-way Jandy's at my heater bypass to blow lines out in the winter so I wouldn't have to disconnect and move the...

    Jandy 2 port valves leaking

BTW Jandy does not support residential consumers. Only pool professionals. So if you're handy and do not want to pay over priced and overly busy pool professionals you cannot file a warranty claim as per their website.

    Jandy 2 port valves leaking

Yeah I'm draining the pipes cuz I'm going to cut out that Jandy valve. It leaks everywhere some sections it spritzes out some sections it kind of pours out. Jandy still has not responded to me very disappointed in their customer service but at least I have other options

    Jandy 2 port valves leaking

As a last resort would a bead of silicone around the cover and the body be a good idea?

    Jandy 2 port valves leaking

Not sure what glue would do to the inside to cause a leak unless there was glue between the seal which there is not. Brand new valve. Leaks in both open and closed position

    Jandy 2 port valves leaking

Well like I said before I'm running out of room to re-pipe so I am not chancing this again. I'll either get the Hayward two port valve with double unions or just a double true union ball valve
