    Dolphin Skimmi

Curious about this skimmer because it sounds like they designed it to work with a corded robot cleaner in the pool at the same time. People have complained about the Betta getting stuck on the cleaner cord often.

Pentair C&C RP Filter same as Sta-Rite Posi-Clear RP Filter?

Thanks. I was just worried they might have gone with a cheaper filter since there is a big price difference.

    Microbrite Warranty

I just replace 2 globrites with the new version. It has a new control board and LED config. I wonder if they did something similar to the microbrites and now the colors are different due to new LEDs.

Pentair C&C RP Filter same as Sta-Rite Posi-Clear RP Filter?

Is the Pentair EC-160353 the exact same filter as the Sta-Rite PXCRP200? The specs are all the same. The only difference appears to be the color and the warranty on the Pentair EC SKU being 1 year. I'm assuming the cartridge is the same pleatco cartridge but not sure. It's $150 more for the Pentair.

    Pentair Globrite White Lights

I just ordered the color version from them. They confirmed they have the new style (post 12/23 manufacture) globrites with an updated body. I would think the white version would be updated as well. Hope they don’t fail prematurely.

    Salt Cell Failing?

It's possible that the cell is going after 3 years in FL. Check to make sure the right cell is selected on the aquarite as mine has been reset after power outages. Also check the amps and voltage are within spec.

Recommend how to keep black algae out of travertine deck

That is a really good sealer but meant more for counter tops. It would be unbelievably expensive to buy a few gallons of that for a pool deck. Sherwin Williams has a decent water based sealer but not nearly as good as Ure-Seal H&C ClariShield Water-Based Natural Look Sealer | SherwinWilliams

Recommend how to keep black algae out of travertine deck

I would recommend hiring a pro with a hot water pressure surface cleaner. The soft wash with bleach might not be enough to break into the black algae. Steps below: Pre treat with SH and surfactant Pressure clean with high PSI and hot water Post clean soak with SH again without surfactant Seal...

SwamCam Review | Pool Alarm - 3 Months In

If you have generic IP cams you can leverage Frigate to do person or pet detection. If you have a good shot of the pool area you can create trip wires and zones for motion/object detection.

    Pentair Globrite replacement option

Does your new light have a manufacture date after Jan 2024? I heard that is when they updated the body to fix this issue. They might have sent an old stock light again. Confirmed the new body Globrite started manufacture on 12/15/2023. If you already had it for 6 months then it was still the...

Transitioning from Pentair Globrite to Microbrite

You can replace them as the fail but the colors on the microbrites don't 100% match the globrites. Also the microbrites are noticeably dimmer. This might look a little off during the transition.

Sunseeker light in Pentair Colorvision bubbler

I called them and I won't be going with their lights. The small lights are 1/3rd as bright as a globrite. It will not be anywhere close to the amount of lumens I need to be safe. Will be ordering microbrites.

Removing Lens with O-Ring on Pentair ColorVision Bubblers

I replaced my lenses as they faded a ton in the Florida sun over 4 years. I could not get them off with my fingers or a tool to lift. I turned the bubblers on as high as possible and then was able to stuck my finger in the middle and pull it out that way. Use the power of your pool pump.

Sunseeker light in Pentair Colorvision bubbler

Also if you happen to know the measured lumen output of these please let me know. They are 18w vs 15w of the globrite. I’m concerned the microbrites will be too dim to replace all 4 of my globrites. These sound like they might be brighter than the globrites.

Sunseeker light in Pentair Colorvision bubbler

    Rain overfilling pool

Check your plumbing as you might have a valve to divert return flow water to a backwash hose. You would run that to the street to drain or a safe area to discharge the excess pool water. You might not need a separate pump. Depending how resilient your local power grid is it might make sense to...

Pentair Intellicenter and manual Color Sync Controller interoperability?

Looking at it more there would be conflicts of control. I might look into building an interface into nodes-poolController to control it through Lutron Pico remotes with my RA2 system with the intellicenter. I could also have it integrated for other things like valves to enable the bubblers. I...

Pentair Intellicenter and manual Color Sync Controller interoperability?

I currently have no automation but the previous owners had the pool built with Pentair Globrites. Four in total with two of them in the bubblers. They are currently all wired on the same transformer with a basic wall switch. I will be eventually adding full automation with Intellicenter as I...

    Frustrated glowbright owner

Nice to hear there are options. I bought my house a year ago and the pool is now 3 years old. My pool has 4 globrite lights (2 side and 2 bubblers). They all look original so I have been lucky it sounds like. Will keep an eye out for the new lights if mine die.
