What does this look like?

This is all need to me, so I'm buying a basket right now. When I have the skimmer basket in, when can I hook up the vaccum? Like do I run the pump for 6 hours and do 4 hours of vacuum and then put the basket back in 2 for hours? I am new to all this and it's not adding up.

Says hayward model sp1070 on the bottom of the cover. So if I have the skimmer basket in, I wouldn't be running the vaccine?

Thanks for the clarification, what type of basket should I get? There are 2 holes in this skimmer well. 1 for the pool vaccum and the other i believe reroutes back to the bottom of the drain?

Just wanted to give TFP folks an update. Went with Pentair Cartridge filter. Pool looks way better. Spent a fortune but definitely feels like it was worth it.

I run it at 1300 rpm from 8pm-8am and then 2300 rpm other 12 hours. I've ran it for about 36 hours straight.

Is Borates for PH? My PH seems to be in line. I tested last night 14.5 PPM FC and this morning it was 10.5PPM FC. Not sure where to go from here. Water is bit clearer but not blue but then again it's a black bottom pool so maybe it doesn't go blue. Should I continue to shock and maintain?

Poured 2 gallons of 12% HASA chlorine, the strong stuff, last night. Tested this morning FC at 17.5PPM and CC .5PPM? is that normal? Not sure why there's such a major difference between Free Chlorine and Combined Chlorine. I will try to test again in the evening.

Also want to add, how does one drain and refill? I'm clueless to this stuff. I read that I can rent a pump at homedepot.
