We've just opened our pool, and are doing SLAM to get it under control. So the chlorine levels are high. Is it ok to use our robot pool cleaner during SLAM? I think so, but I'm not totally sure. We've gotten most of the organic debris out by manual vacuum but running the robot a couple times...

Oh wow. Never would have thought that just starting over would be cheaper. We did end up buying way too much bleach for ourselves this season, so have about 20 extra jugs we could give to the cause. But that may go pretty quick.

Thanks for the replies - @mknauss and @scottts, the only water that's been added since open is rainwater, I will test the rain's PH & TA next time it rains. I test PH and chlorine daily, and the PH creeps up even when there has been no rain for days, so would that mean there is another factor...
