Jandy Valve - Should it be moved?

This is a ton of information -- and incredibly helpful. For now I am gonna ponder it all and look around the pool to see what other info I can gather for you before I reply. I had already began the process of closing the pool -- so nothing is on for mew to test at the moment. Little kids...

Jandy Valve - Should it be moved?

Does this help? The pipe to the left of the Jandy I believe comes from the pool --- and the pipe to the far right is the one heading back to the pool with the filtered / chlorinated water. Can you see my answers to your questions in colored font above? I just don't even know what purpose this...

Almost got it... Almost closed... but not quite

I've been paying people for years to close my pool... I thought I had all the steps down pat -- BUT I guess I am missing something. I removed all the plugs. Wasted the water. Although it seems I could have wasted it more... My setup: I drew a picture of my pool. I did not plug any of the...

Maytronics Dolphin Nautilus Won't Start... then will... then stops -- help!

I watched the video this weekend -- Took the entire Dolphin apart -- washed it out -- checked all the obvious things -- put it back together. I could see nothing out of the ordinary -- everything looked good, bearings spun -- brushes soft -- easy to self-crank. Did not see any wires looking...

Maytronics Dolphin Nautilus Won't Start... then will... then stops -- help!

Thanks -- I found this guy's video online -- tonight I am going to follow along and see what needs to be cleaned etc. And examine everything internally. I called Maytronics -- they told me to take it out -- turn it upside down -- and press power to reset it -- but nothing happened. Which...

Maytronics Dolphin Nautilus Won't Start... then will... then stops -- help!

I'm not sure how old it is -- the previous home owner left it for me -- but it looks pretty good. I've opened it and cleaned it and removed screws and pulled out hair and gunk and... Never had this problem before -- but I plug it in - and nothing. I pull it up and stare at it --- give it a...

    Jandy Valve Positioning

Bt if I vacuum to waste -- which is what I was told to do - then it never goes into the filter. That is my impression.

    Jandy Valve Positioning

I do have a Dolphin Robot -- but I also have a vacuum -- and yes, it is a pain in the rear and thus I only used it once when I had a fiend here who did it for me. I have a ton of gunk on the bottom from a damaged cover I had to replace late in the Fall -- figured might as well use it. Northern...

    Jandy Valve Positioning

I thought I was supposed to be able to shut off 1 side to attach the vacuum -- so if I shut off the side suction - then attach the vacuum to the Skimmer - my suction theoretically will be much stronger. I guess I'd only need to shut off the one side that the side suction is on. So perhaps...

    Jandy Valve Positioning

How can this be correct? Wouldn't the Jandy Valve need to be positioned to the right -- so it can actually control / prevent that flow?

    Pool Check Valve

I found this and read it -- so it seems you are right. ZERO bubbles / air should be seen -- and I see a LOT of bubles. I printed out Page 2 of that -- and when I can get outside tonight -- will go 1 by 1 and try to pin this issue down -- or have to pay someone to do it. :cautious:

    Pool Check Valve

This morning I opened it -- cleaned up the o-ring and lubed it up a ton. Prior to this - it was repeatedly lowering and then you could hear the pump strain a bit as it refilled. The psi would fluctuate along with that. Since I did this clean / lube this morning --- that seems to have stopped...

    Pool Check Valve

I believe this is called a Pool Check Valve. If not - please tell me what it is called. But my questions is: Should this be FULL of Water in any cycle? [filter, rinse, backwash, etc] ALL cycles? Just some cycles? Can there be bubbles? Or can it even be low?

    Losing prime on filter setting

OK -- sorry for now triple posting... but I think this is something you NEED to know ASAP I put my filter in backwash, rinse, and back to filter and watched each for a couple minutes. The flow is uninterrupted and strong. Again - I cleaned it all up and lubed the crepe out of it. By the way...
