    Elevated pH

I will try adjusting my return angle and lowering TA. Is it ok to use pH down to lower TA? I'm not a fan of the muriatic acid. Actually I'm afraid to use it. I purchased pH down instead.

    Elevated pH

My water has evaporated to the return output and I noticed that my pH levels have elevated from 7.6 to 8.0. I tested my TA and its maintaining 90. With the water being lower than usual, I think the return is aerating the water causing my pH to be higher. I have well water and used the bucket...

    Chemical question

Yes, here they are. Thanks, I was amazed with the outcome. No additional chemicals used to get iron out of the water. We used the bucket filter for 2 days and removed it today. To be on the safe side, we are using the sock method tonight to catch any left over iron that could be lingering.

    Just Filled and Green Pool

Good news! I passed the OCLT .5 ppm FC loss and 0.5 CC. Hopefully, no algae. I started the bucket filter yesterday and the results are amazing. Pictures attached. It must have been the iron in the well water. What are my next steps for testing after shock? I'm going to test FC which should have...

    Just Filled and Green Pool

Ok will do. Yes, my well water does have a little iron in it. I wasn't sure whether it was iron or algae. The chlorine didn't turn it brown. It has light green tint. I can see clearly to the bottom of the pool. Its not cloudy just green.

    Just Filled and Green Pool

It took me 5 days to fill using well water. We had some rain in between. My Ph and TA was very low so I added baking soda, cya, and liquid chlorine last night. When I rinsed filter cartridge it looked kind of slimy I'm worried it could be algae. My numbers today are as follows: FC - 4 CC - .5...
