I added CYA on for the first time on Tuesday afternoon. My level read 30. I tested other chemicals this morning and I have the following:
FC 3.5
CC 0
Ph 7.4
TA 90
According to poolmath I should keep my FC up to 4. Should I increase my CYA? How often do I add Liquid Chlorine? Its going to be a hot sunny day.

A CYA of 30 is the minimum. As summer approaches, you may easily need 40, maybe even 50 to protect the chlorine. But when you increase the CYA, make sure to increase the FC as noted on the FC/CYA Levels. The pool still needs to be fed chlorine each day, so test about the samme time each day if you can to see a pattern.

Same time is fine. They are added differently anyways.. Pour the chlorine slowly near the return jets. For the stabilizer, use the sock method.

Adding CYA:
To increase CYA via granular stabilizer, place the required amount as calculated by the Poolmath calculator into a white sock and place in the poolside skimmer basket. For those concerned about suction flow to the pump, suspending the sock near a return jet or from a floating device will also suffice. Best never to allow undissolved granules to rest directly against the pool surface. Squeeze the sock periodically to help it dissipate. Once dissolved, consider your CYA adjusted to that programmed (target) level. CYA test readings should show a rise in 24-48 hours, however some pools may experience a longer delay to fully register. Best to confirm final CYA in about 5-7 days before adding any more stabilizer/conditioner.
