Will do. Thank you, I wouldn’t have thought of that. I pulled the tab float, vacuumed and have had the filter on for about a week. Hopefully we can actually get in the pool soon 😅

Ugggggh. Yes I see where that has been the issue. I just pulled the tab float out, I have no problem adding liquid chlorine and a sock. I’m trying out an above ground pool, thought it had a signature. About 4800 gals, but recently rain probably puts it at 5000 gals.

My test just now had me at 29.5 FC 😯 Just I stalled a new filter about five days ago, in response to a green pool. Now the color is back to a non-algae color, but with a CYA of about 80 or 90, my FC levels are high. CC is just barely 0.5, no biggie. Tree pollen was last month, no real pollen...

So if you’re going through a SLAM and putting in TriChlor tabs, it will always be a battle against cloudiness? If I take out the tabs, the cloudiness will start to dissipate? Alright, so let’s say you got the chlorine, went through a round of SLAM... but the pool is still cloudy. What then? Or is this just halfway through the SLaM process and it will clear by the end?

Thanks! I’ve had the pool up and running a whole month almost, and haven’t had too many problems. Self diagnosed the cloudiness and clarified with a round of SLAM according to PoolMath, and am enjoying the mechanics of pool chemistry!
