Tired of buying new electrodes for Intex SWG, what's a good upgrade that will last but not break the bank?

Yes, I'm realizing now that I've been pretty lax about managing pH with muriatic acid. I've just been adding it once in awhile when pH is really high, but I'm going to be more vigilant about adding it regularly and tracking CSI in the Pool Math app. I just had to do a SLAM because the the SWG...

Tired of buying new electrodes for Intex SWG, what's a good upgrade that will last but not break the bank?

I've been using white vinegar, for whatever that's worth. With the design of the electrode, it would be difficult to scrape all of the scale off manually.

Tired of buying new electrodes for Intex SWG, what's a good upgrade that will last but not break the bank?

We're going on our 4th season with our above ground pool and it has been mostly great. The Intex SWG has worked fairly well, but the life of the electrodes has been short. Even though it says it is rated for 15k gallons, I have to run it for 7 or so hours per day during the summer to keep the...

Ordered a 16x54" round pool kit 8 weeks ago, still waiting for the liner. Can't find one in stock anywhere.

Geez, I wish I would have read Pool Supply World's BBB reviews before buying. It would have saved us this disappointment of paying over $2k for no pool and the prospect of a big fight to get any sort of refund. Many people have the same experience of paying but not receiving things. And the...

Ordered a 16x54" round pool kit 8 weeks ago, still waiting for the liner. Can't find one in stock anywhere.

Thanks @Newdude. I looked that brand up and found some pretty negative amazon reviews, so I'm going to skip that one. I also found a place that says they have my size in stock for the swimline liner I originally ordered with me kit, but I contacted them and they are 4 weeks out on new orders. So...

Ordered a 16x54" round pool kit 8 weeks ago, still waiting for the liner. Can't find one in stock anywhere.

Thanks for the reply, Casey. The pool factory has 15’ and 18’ but for some reason no 16’ liners. I did email Lomart to see if they can help. Good suggestion. I spoke with pool supply world customer service again and they said it’s just hard to get liners right now, and if you were to try to...

Ordered a 16x54" round pool kit 8 weeks ago, still waiting for the liner. Can't find one in stock anywhere.

We ordered this Lomart Verona 16' Round 54" pool on 5/13. They said it would take them 4-6 weeks to get everything to us, as they like to wait and ship all the parts a once. I get it, everybody has the same idea, and COVID-19 is turning the world on its ear. So we waited. We finally get our...

Looking at first above ground pool, a bit overwhelmed with options.

@stringer77 Thanks for the input. Not really what I want to hear. I do want something that will last awhile, but I've had enough chlorine pools in my life. If I get to choose my own pool, I want less chlorine. I see one post here about a Lomart rusting... but the one I'm looking at specifically...

Looking at first above ground pool, a bit overwhelmed with options.

Another question I just thought of: For a smaller above ground pool, do the vacuum cleaner devices make sense?

Soon to be new above ground pool owner in the desert southwest

Hello all. We're a family of 4 looking got our first pool asap before the summer really hits and makes us all crazy. I made a post about that in the above ground pool section, and it is awaiting approval, so I won't repeat those details here. But I am glad this forum exists. I love finding...

Looking at first above ground pool, a bit overwhelmed with options.

We're quickly realizing that we need to get an above ground pool, stat. We're in southern AZ, the cruel summer is bearing down on us, and this family of four needs something to keep us all from going insane. It seems we snoozed and lost on the cheaper but decent looking options (Intex), as they...
