**UPDATE** - The pool has evaporated nearly completely.

Re: The pool has evaporated nearly completely. I would try to keep the liner from sagging in the first place. I use this one and love it. http://www.arcticbluecovers.com/product ... /236/ci/70

Not a good pool day :(

I did something similar last year. I had my sump pump in the pool to remove extra water after a big rain. It takes about an inch off an hour or so. I unplugged it when I went to bed because it was at about the perfect level but I did not remove pump from pool. Well once primed those pumps...

Big Dent in bottom of pool

I have the same type problems. Pulled liner this spring, releveled ground, problem fixed right? Wrong. My ground has leveling issues, probably caused by rain and or the fact that we brought in 20 truck loads of dirt to build up our sloped yard. We packed it tight 2 years ago when we built...

    My weekend project.

Is that pool covered? Even in the Phoenix area I would assume you would need direct sun light for an outside pool to be comfortable. 80 degree water would feel much cooler in the shade than 80 degree water swimming in sun light.

Cover options for partial Deck surround

I have a 18x33 pool with full deck and got this cover and loved it. They also can make it for partial decks http://www.arcticbluecovers.com/product ... /236/ci/70 It covers like a safety cover but also has a screen built in to filter water through.

    electric

I had mine hooked up with an extension cord for 2 years and my electrician was indifferent on me using it. I wanted deck lighting as well so I finally had him bury a dedicated outlet and mount it on the deck and he charged me $300.

    Extension Cords and Filter pumps???

I dont know if it was right or wrong but I ran mine off of a 50 ft 12 gauge ext cord for 2 years with zero problems. I'm not saying it is right or wrong just that I did it with no problems. My electrician didn't seem to worried about it either.

New metal frame pool with pinhole size leak on side wall

Re: NEW METAL FRAME POOL WITH PINHOLE SIZE LEAK ON SIDE WALL Well I had a tree branch crash through my pool cover and make a quarter size hole in the bottom of the pool 2 winters ago. I patched the bottom and it still holds to this day. Patching under water is really easy.

Hard cover walk on winter cover?

Some one needs to figure this out. I would pay a couple grand for one. Fiberglass or something light weight and strong. Modular, like 22 ft by 4 ft or something? Anybody heard of such a thing. I know companies install portable plexiglass ones for weddings and what not but I want one that i...

    AGP pool lights

Yeah I rarely use it so batteries doesn't mean much to me. If used daily then no it is not a good.

    AGP pool lights

Ive got 4 installed on my 18x33 and it is over kill but for $20 for all 4 why not. 2 would of done the job, heck 1 really. The beauty is if a local Walmart has them you have nothing to lose. Install is like 1 minute, so if it isn't bright enough you take it back. But I doubt you do.

Building deck-? under the rail/flush with gap/over rail

Yup, my pool guy swears it is too high and the pool too shallow to do it safely. He says your tailbone would hit the bottom. He was very adamant so i have not tried it yet, yet is the operative word. I think it could be done, but i put an extra $1 million umbrella insurance policy on the...

    Above ground pool LED light

What did you think? The installation literally could not be easier, and i am quite happy with the performance so far. One of mine did start to leak a little so i dried it out and really tightend the cover back on super tight. I rarely use them so i don't know how long the baterry will actually...

Building deck-? under the rail/flush with gap/over rail

Here is a video on how we did ours. We ran the deck over the pool and went with a unibead liner. Also we wanted a in ground pool but we were on a major slope. So we dug out 5 foot and built a retaining wall out of railroad ties. Then we still needed 20 full loads of dirt to get the 18x33...

    Above ground pool LED light

I picked up 4 of these at my local Walmart in the pool dept, and so far they work awesome. http://www.yourpoolhq.com/remote-contro ... _7cNA4107# 2 boxes of 2 so 4 total lights for $20. They have a magnet on them so they fit snug right on the metal pool wall through the liner. For intex pools...

foam insulation under liner...where and what kind?

Any thoughts on chances of reusing liner? Doing the figures it seems that using that foam insulation would cost more than $500 on a 18x33 pool. Does that seem about right?

foam insulation under liner...where and what kind?

Does the gorilla pad help prevent divots or uneveness? I am pulling my liner back and redoing the bottom completely because of settling. New sand the whole works. I have the gorilla pad installed now and i am curious if I should reinstall when my pool guy redoes the floor. At first he was...

foam insulation under liner...where and what kind?

Is this necessary or even helpful? Most pool people seemd to tell me that if the ground is done correctly and enough sand is used it doesnt really help. Also how does that compare to something like this http://www.amazon.com/Gorilla-Floor-Pad ... B002D0X1NI ?

Need advice on AGP ladder from deck

My pool cleaner does get stuck occasionally. I think the safety barrior that comes with it to keep kids from swimming through it might alleviate that. Not sure though. It hasnt happened enough for me to put that on, I actually tried to install the safety barrior and thought this isn't worth...
