Automated chlorine and PH sample and dosing

I ended up pulling the trigger on a SWG. I’m not familiar with IntelliPH, but I’ll definitely look into that.

Automated chlorine and PH sample and dosing

Anyone familiar with this? https://pool-technologie.com/en/just-dosing_en/ It doesn’t list any US dealers, but I‘d be interested in seeing what the cost would be.

    CYA is gone after winter

Okay. I took it up to 10ppm, mixed for 30 mins and FC stayed the same. Should I start adding CYA?

    CYA is gone after winter

Thanks for the replies. So if FC only drops 4PPM overnight with the cover on, would Ammonia be present? Or would Ammonia take FC down to zero?

    CYA is gone after winter

I checked my CYA at closing in early October and it was sitting about 45-50. I SLAM'd for a couple days, winterized, and closed the cover. This year has been cold and rainy, so the pool hasn't been opened since October. I opened it on Saturday and it looked pretty bad. Lots of earthworms and...

DIY - Automated Liquid Chlorine Dispenser

I'm not that knowledgeable on the Stenner pumps. I only chose the pump I have based upon availability and low cost. I bet any of the Stenner Econ series 120v pumps would work for you.

DIY - Automated Liquid Chlorine Dispenser

At a little over a week of dialing this in, my FC is holding steady at about 3.5ppm. The pump runs for 45 minutes each night. I did notice that on the output connector there was a drip of chlorine after the pump ran one night. I suspect the home depot fitting isn't PVC and is leaking slightly. I...

Looking for a chemical proof 1/4" T for suction side of Stenner pump for 2 5 gal pails

I picked up a 20 gallon plastic barrel from amazon for about 40 bucks shipped. Aside from smelling like cherry soda, it works great.

    Liquid Chlorine Peristaltic Feeder Pump

Nice job! You might want to change out the clear tubing for black poly tubing so the UV doesn't degrade the chlorine. Also, a container that is UV protected would be recommended for the same reasons.

DIY - Automated Liquid Chlorine Dispenser

My CYA is about 40. I have the pump, barrel, and wifi switch in my garage. The poly tube runs through the wall along the bottom of my house siding and about 10 feet to the pool equipment.

I ran the power today and mounted the button switch to the wall. I’m super happy to have this in place.

DIY - Automated Liquid Chlorine Dispenser

So, I'm tired of adding LC to the pool every couple of days. At the beginning of the season my CYA levels were at zero, so adding a puck or two wasn't too big a deal. I have a Trichlor dispenser that I would keep on a low setting with a couple of pucks. It seemed to baseline the pool at about...

Passed my SLAM tests, now TA?

I've performed my SLAM and passed the overnight FC test, CC is holding below .5, the water is clear. I ran through all the tests again this morning to see where I am: FC - 6.0 CC - <.5 Ph - 7.2 CH - 400 CYA - ~30 TA - 210 Temp - 79* Should I be concerned about TA? I'm told that the water...

    Do I need eyeballs?

With my new pump, I'm showing that I have plenty of flow; but the water on the surface isn't moving as much as I would expect. Based on the placement of the jets, I can tell the setup is intended to direct flow into the skimmer. Looking closer at one of my outlets, it looks like it may have had...

TA is high, CYA is low

Started the SLAM yesterday evening. I added the suggested chlorine amounts from poolmath and checked about 30 minutes later. My FC measured at 18. CC measured at 1.5. Measured again this AM before the sun came up. FC is at 15 and CC is at 1.0. I have to say the TF 100 leaves little room for...
