The owner knew about it since he told me it happened with the old liner. The pool company did attempt to seal the cracks in the cement. Wondering if sealing cracks is a solution to preventing ground water from getting in, or is a sump pump always needed?

I just moved in, but Ive attached the cleaner hose to the vacuum port closest to the pump (the skimmer is on the far side of the pool).
