    Pentair Microbrite light colors

Thank you for the clarification! So if I understand correctly, using Intellicenter, I can snapshot any 1 color that I see on my Microbrites while watching Party Mode. Have I got that right? And where exactly can I do this from? the main Intellicenter panel? The iOS app? Or do I need to buy one...

    Pentair Microbrite light colors

Hi, does anyone know of a way to a set fixed color for the Pentair Microbrites other than the 5 preset fixed colors it comes with? In its party modes we see some colors that we'd like to adopt as a fixed color. Alternatively we'd like to set up a new party mode with a couple colors we like. Is...

Pool Proposal -- Advice appreciated! -- Westport, MA

Hello! Yes, solar panels. My concern is how much sun we'll have in the spring/fall as extending our swim season is our main goal. We don't have the natural gas option, just LP. Builder is Environmental Pools. Construction is scheduled to begin mid-to-late fall.

Pool Proposal -- Advice appreciated! -- Westport, MA

Thank you @jamjam. Do you use your heat pump much during the summer? Do you use in the spring/fall? If so, how effective do you find it in the spring/fall for extending your swim season?

Pool Proposal -- Advice appreciated! -- Westport, MA

Yes, hi neighbor! Thank you for the info. While from our conversations with the town, I'm confident they won't require us to have a fence in addition to our autocover, the insurance question is an interesting one. This has me looking now at mesh removable fences like this: High Quality Equipment...

Pool Proposal -- Advice appreciated! -- Westport, MA

Got it re heat. Fence -- yes, my understanding is that the regulation recently became more liberal (can't remember if that was at the state-level, town-level or a combination). We triple checked with the town that we were in the clear. :-)

Pool Proposal -- Advice appreciated! -- Westport, MA

BTW @Jimrahbe do you have a preferred CSWG? Would it make sense for us to standardize around Pentair?

Pool Proposal -- Advice appreciated! -- Westport, MA

Thank you @bmoreswim! Yes, we're really excited for the autocover. We have young kids though and no plans for a pool fence. We'll have to be vigilant. I'm also going to look into video monitoring and sensors paired with an alarm. I suspect we'll keep the pool covered the large majority of the...

Pool Proposal -- Advice appreciated! -- Westport, MA

@AK- Thank you for doing the math! For New England, do you know how many BTUs might make more sense? BTW we're going to have a lot of solar panels. Should I even look at the pool heat pumps? I definitely would if we lived down south or out west but not sure it makes sense here, especially since...

    High-end Above-Ground Pool Advice?

This is super relevant -- thank you! We don't have the steep yard thankfully but this thread makes me realize that in essence what we'll likely need to do is build the equivalent of a house foundation.

    High-end Above-Ground Pool Advice?

We've recently come to the realization that because our home is a deck house (you walk up a story to get to the main floor), we'd be best served with an above-ground pool. We imagine our deck, which is at about 10 feet off the ground, "terracing" down 4 feet or so to the pool, which would also...

SWG that works in the cold?

Thank you MKnauss! I will read up on the ABC's. With my interest in keeping the pool open as long as possible do you think I should be considering getting one of Autopilots SWCGs over other brands? (If not, I'd likely want to stick to one of the big 3 -- Pentair, Hayward or Jandy -- so that I...

SWG that works in the cold?

I'm planning a new 40 x 20 gunite pool with a SWG and VS pump for my home in Massachusetts. We're interested in opening the pool very early and closing it very late -- opening in April/May and closing in November/December. The idea is to be able to take "polar bear plunges" into it after being...
