I have this exact same problem with my vacuum suctioning to the bottom of my pool. It has slightly stuck in the last couple of years when opening with heavy algae and debris. I did fill filter with zeosand this year. That's the only difference I know of from past years.

My hubby made me a sprayer for my pool out of PVC that attaches to the return, and it will literally drop my temp anywhere from 5-10 degrees overnight, and we live in Southeast MO where it's been anywhere from 100-109 degrees for the last few weeks.

We bought the pool new, and this is the ladder that came with it. It has not been altered in any way. I will have to look for the model number harder. I haven't found it on there as of yet.

I cannot figure out how to reattach my ladder. It was bolted down but even with a huge washer it didn't work out. The problem is that the places in the ladder for bolting it down are right above the side of the pool. I thought about a small form of decking, but have no way to stabilize it...
