Moving can our pool be empty and taken with us 12x36 summer

Re: Moving can our pool be empty and taken with us 12x36 sum It can absolutely be moved. Just make sure to keep all the parts. Pegs and screws in baggies. ect. After you drain, just lay out the liner to dry out. We drain ours and store every year for the past 4 years. Its not very hard at all.

    It's Hot in Georgia.

We're in the pool most of the day because of our AC problems. Thermostat is set to 68 but it can't manage to keep the temp under 78-80. Our unit is way too small for the size of our home. We're just going to run the one we have into the ground I guess and do some improvements this winter. I...

    It's Hot in Georgia.

I went and bought a few bags of ice this morning to put in the pool. I think it did help some. 103º today... fun. I hope the waterloss is just evaporation. I'm hoping our 5yo intex doesn't take the plunge till after this season. WE need RAIN soooo bad. I think its been 2 weeks, maybe longer...

    It's Hot in Georgia.

Temps are in the 100s with the heat index. Its 2pm and the pool is 94º. I bought a new thermometer last weekend when it was reading in the 90s because I thought it was broken. Turns out it wasn't haha. Any ideas on how to keep the pool cool? Its getting a little too warm to swim in. Do fountains...

My 2 years 2 pools build project in pics

when I used cartridge filters, i found that they had to be cleaned at least once a weak otherwise the water flow became very weak. Clogged filters slow down the flow.

Engineering Aspect of Setting Up an Unlevel AGP

I think under 2 inches should not be a huge problem. I have a 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 water level difference at different spots in my pool and its been up for almost 5 years now. Thats just me though. Anyone else would probably object.

New 16' Intex AGP Family in CA

I have a few legs like that too. Its probably from pulling them out when setting the pool up and thats how they settled. I did it intentionally because last year a had a few legs that leaned into the pool. I was worried it would damage the liner.

Finally got the pool up and LANDSCAPING TIME! :)

Finished filling in the mulch ring! And I started laying some Sod. I think I might just do grass plugs for the rest of the bare spots. That worked really well in the front yard.

    Intex Easy Set Skimmer/Pump questions

I have a 16X48 (5061 Gallons I think) Metal Frame Intex and I have the 1600gph Intex Sand filter. It seems to be more than adequate for us. I don't think you can install a thru wall skimmer due to the shaped of the wall, but I might be wrong. While writing this, I just looked up the 1600gph...

Finally got the pool up and LANDSCAPING TIME! :)

Hopefully it will be a lot nicer once I finish filling in the area with bark and some planters and lots of Sod! His name is Max and he is a full blooded Yorkshire Terrier. We just shaved him for the summer.

Finally got the pool up and LANDSCAPING TIME! :)

We were really late putting up the pool this year (usually put it up on Mother's Day) due to weather restrictions and a two week vacation at our lake house in Virginia. After coming back to this awful Georgia heat, we knew it was time to get the pool up! Once the pool was up, I realized how much...

22'x52" Ultra Fram, curious if a 21' Expanding Liner will fit?

Re: 22'x52" Ultra Fram, curious if a 21' Expanding Liner wil I don't think you could use a metal walled AGP liner on an Intex pool. Intex Liners are specifically designed to act as the structure of the pool and the liner....

    New Intex pool

I agree. Metal Frame/Ultra Frame is the best way to go. We're about to be on our 5th year as soon as we put the pool back up. We take ours down for the winter.

Help! Is My Vinyl Liner Doomed?

I had something similar happen, except it was with a dozen of the quarter size tablets. It bleached spots in my liner but that was 3 years ago and my pool is still holding water, although I have an Intex.

    About to go crazy

I recommend that you just buy the plunger valves. They aren't too expensive on Amazon. It's terrible that they didn't supply them with your pump. My sandfilter came with the adapters and the plunger valves. Good luck though.. btw we have the same pool! :-D

Drought Causing Pool level to sink below intake and skimmer.

Re: Drought Causing Pool level to sink below intake and skim The valve didn't the break, the hose itself did. I suppose it was just too old. This is its 4th year. Seeing as the kids go back to school tomorrow, the pool probably will be taken down soon and retired. New pool next year! :-D

Re: Drought Causing Pool level to sink below intake and skim Well, I called Water works today and I am able to top off the pool. :) Its all full now. Except the hose that goes from the skimmer to the plunger valve cracked so I have no skimmer.
