I used the silicon spray which helped me to get it unstuck. Looking inside I noticed that the o-ring was stretched out of shape. All fixed now. Thanks.

I am having a hard time getting the housing on this to turn. Every year I have had a bit of resistance, but this year it won't budge. Thought I had it tightened only to find water coming out when it started to fill. In the past I have used a lubricant, which probably isn't a good idea due to it...
