    Ok, so just retested w/ 10ml sample. I got FC 3.5 and CC 1.5. Maybe i didn't give it enough time between dumping 10ppm and testing... The algecide I used was HTC Super Algae Guard 60 4in1

    okay, good to know about algaecide. Just dumped about 90oz of bleach in. tested 15 minutes later: FC .6 and CC 5.8

    I have that one. I also have been using an algaecide. Initial dose. Then the weekly/bi weekly dose. I do not see any green or yellow. There is a very slight cloudiness, but not bad.

    I hear ya... probably easier then messing around for X amount of days or weeks trying to figure out what the heck it is and why it's passing right through my sand filter. I did take the filter apart cleaned the top and took about half the sand out and replenished.

    Good point. Unsure how to really tell. The substance is white powder. I did dump algaecide in the beginning of the season after a few days. But that was the preventative dose. How can I tell if it’s algae or fine corn starch? Thanks.
