MasterTemp 400 and intellivalve degree cam setting for bypass?

I went through this a couple months back. I honestly think the Pentair instructions are in error. They have reasonable numbers, just in the wrong spots, and the plumbing diagram seems wrong to me. I am running mine so that in bypass the valve sits at about 17. The point is that a small...

Wanting to add ic60 and automated bypass valve......help needed please

This is the best shot I have that shows the plumbing related to the heater bypass and IC40. Are you looking for some different angles of that, or do you really want ALL the plumbing. I have that, if you want to see the monster :-) If you just want say, a reverse angle of the bypass I can...

Wanting to add ic60 and automated bypass valve......help needed please

My setup is similar to what you are looking to do, other than I have an IC40. Hopefully this works - first attempt to add a photo. The line from the filter comes in from the left. You can see the valve which either feeds the heater or bypasses it left of center. After the T to recombine the...

    Pentair IC40 salt reading high

Those are the same R630 and R718 reagents that came with my TFT kit, right? Ran that test this morning and the result is spot on with the SafeDip.

    Pentair IC40 salt reading high

Well, 80 and 100 are lighting up right now, which seems reasonable since I just kicked on the heater. I will check that again tonight after we are done heating the pool. Also thanks for letting me know this neat feature :)

    Pentair IC40 salt reading high

a small update - IC40 is still reading 4450 at the Intellicenter, but the salt LED on the unit has changed to solid Green. The only difference is that I turned on the heater to warm up the pool for a late afternoon swim.

    Pentair IC40 salt reading high

My pool (see sig) is about 2 months old. After the first month I started adding salt (slowly) to bring the level up to 3200-3400. Note that I use a PH meter (Safedip) for routine PH measurement and that also gives me a salt reading. Using the silver nitrate test in my TF-100 kit always...

    Water temperature measuring options

If it is sitting where any moisture would vent out the bottom, just about any case or pouch ought to help. Or get fancy - they make low voltage IP65 outdoor junction boxes with clear covers - less than $20 on Amazon. Either use a waterproof connector, or just drill a hole in the bottom of the...

    Water temperature measuring options

I have 2 of these, one for the pool and one for the spa. I added them becasue I have an Ambient Weather system and these report back to it, but they also have a local display and work standalone. They are not really made to be out in the open, but here in sunny CA I don't have to worry much...

    Hi 👋 All!

Have you checked the pH? I just turned on the main pump for my new pool this Thursday, and at the time I felt a little sick because what I thought would be light blue water was more green than blue. You could imagine it was blue if you wished real hard while staring at it, but when you looked...

    Pentair Mastertemp 400 behavior

Short update. I can't actually get to the heater to open it up just now - My PB is putting up a screening fence to screen the equipment pad from the pool area, and right now access is blocked. I can get to the control panel but not to the back side. But based on the feedback above I tried an...

    Pentair Mastertemp 400 behavior

New pool under construction (see profile). Plaster is going on this week, so getting close to done :) I have been slowly integrating/testing the IntelliCenter. Given that I don't have water yet I can only go so far, but I have the firmware updated, communications going, tied into the web...

TF-100 CYA mixing bottle - how much water/reagent?

cool - so 50:50 water to reagent. That I can do. In fact I tried with the sample bottle from the kit and am getting used to "glancing". for the dot. I really like the option to get premixed samples, to practice testing.

TF-100 CYA mixing bottle - how much water/reagent?

First time trying the test kit (using the pre-made sample) and need a little help. The paper and video instructions state: Fill the red-capped CYA mixing bottle to the bottom of the label with pool water. Now, fill the bottle to the top of the label with R-0013. Mix, then wait at least 30...

    Sinking legs

As long as you pull them tight as you fill the pool they will not really move out. Be aware the wood in your picture is much narrower than what Intex calls for. The manual calls for 15"x15"x1.2" to spread out the load. Where you use one long piece, depending on the soil, that might just...

New (+1st timer) Pool Build - North DFW

Nice visuals :) Just out of curiosity, what ratio are you using on your time lapse? I would like to get a similar capture when my builder can finally start my pool, so any insight would be helpful. Thanks! Dale

    Intex Ultra XTR 25 x 12 x 54 Build questions

If this is the rectangular pool (and it sounds like it from the title), then once you get to the point where you have attached the legs and inserted the little pegs into the restrainer straps, you will see exactly where they should go. It has been a year+ since I watched the video, but my...
