Super CL mode on CircuPool RJ is not designed the best way

i want the generator to retain the 24 hour run setting in the CMOS memory between power cycles. but since my pump runs 8 hours out 24, it won't be 24 run for me or 14FC for me. if normal run gives me 3 ppm per day, then doubling it would give me a boost of 3ppm per incident.

Super CL mode on CircuPool RJ is not designed the best way

it is dialed in, but my pool is mostly idle with solar cover on. so FC loss is minimal and it sits on rather low setting of the SWG all the time. and when the pool is used, it will burn off an extra 2ppms of FC from the base line. bumping FC to get back to base using SL mode for 24 hours...

Super CL mode on CircuPool RJ is not designed the best way

i can't run on slow speed because i have solar panels.

Super CL mode on CircuPool RJ is not designed the best way

It's supposed to boost the CL generation for 24 hours or until the power is removed. It should've been designed to retain the 24 hour time frame with the power removed. Here is how I saw me using it originally. Let's say at 50% output and no pool use SWG achieves equilibrium and my FC stays...

Solar panels can suck air in

it's the lowest pressure point. the furthest panel from the pump and at the very top. which helps when it comes with plugging the leak.

Solar panels can suck air in

i haven't been participating in this forum for a long time. but i do remember reading mas985 post on hydraulics and the name jumped into my head while writing my post. i think we had a few discussions back in the days. i was thinking it would be impossible to have vacuum at the top of the...

    floater stuck by the skimmer

thanks., i guess if it floats away after pump is off then it's ok. pucks in the skimmer are ok when pump is running too, but they for sure won't float away when pump is off.

    floater stuck by the skimmer

i can't use my inline chlorinator due to switching to swg and i want to use up some trichlor pucks (yes, i'm aware of CYA) . i got a floater since i don't want to use it in the skimmer, but the Dang floater floats around and ends up by the skimmer anyway. which defeats the whole purpose. is...

Solar panels can suck air in

I don't know if this is a common knowledge or not, but it was news to me that solar panel placed on the pressure side of the pump can suck air in. But they for sure can. My panels have been a bit nosy since I installed them 6 or so years ago - there was some quite gurgling and water rush heard...

Finishing trichlor tabs while starting with SWCG

i use (or used to) them at the beginning of the season when i need to ramp up the CYA in conjunction with the bleach. it did take long, but it was ok - i would use less bleach and it would work on my CYA. what's the idea behind saving them for vacation? bc swcg raises the PH and trichlor...

Finishing trichlor tabs while starting with SWCG

Hi! I'm starting this season with an SWCG. I used to have an inline chorinator that I used to bump my CYA, now that spot is taken by the SWCH cell. I have a good amount of pucks left that I want to use up to bring my CYA up. I have an option to drop them into the skimmer, but it seems like SWCG...

Circupool RJ 60 oxidation signs on the elements?

I recently received new RJ60 system and I notice some irregularities on the electrode surface. They are not uniform grey, there are covered in spots that seems like oxidation - browning, greenish spots. I'm attaching a pic, but it's a bit hard to see since the cell itself is quite shiny I...

    cal hypo tablets

not exactly. CYA raises much faster with trichlor use compared to CH with cal hypo. and the range is much tighter for CYA, compared to CH.

    cal hypo tablets

so the pool season is starting somewhat soon for my region, and i started looking for chlorinating agents. typically i used trichlor to bring up my CYA to desired level and then bleach and cal hypo based on what is cheaper. the prices for chlorine went thru the roof last season and this one is...

    EU100-EU200 PVC slip 1.5"x1.5" union

Does anyone in Eastern/Central Mass happen to have this kind of PVC union? My plumbing around the filter/pump is done using those unions. I think they originally came from HD. I can't find them anywhere anymore and anything I find has different socket size/threading. I have a few plug and play...

Dilute -100F antifreeze or use less?

The store didn't get enough of my regular -50F RV antifreeze, so I got a couple more bottles of -100F RV antifreeze. The ingredients are the same, so I assume it's safe to mix and use. But I'm wondering if it would translate into 1:2 ratio. Meaning, can I make 2 gallons of -50F antifreeze...

sharp objects under the new liner in the deep end

update on my situation. the installer came in with the same expert as last time, but this time to fix the wrinkles. they struggled for a bit and told me there was to much water to effectively do anything. ironically when he tried to fix them first time there was very little water and the...

    from liner to concrete pool

it might be my area, but the cheapest liner change i found was $5100, with prices above $7k not uncommon. but now i understand a little bit more about the trade offs and the price of conversation. thank you.

sharp objects under the new liner in the deep end

my installer is AWOL. i messaged him 2 weeks ago and didn't hear back. he still has 3 small problems to address (2 small wrinkly areas and one liner track tuck) and there is the whole sharp things at the deep end under the liner that he still doesn't know about. he didn't charge me $1600 for...

    from liner to concrete pool

I recently had my liner changed. While that was not without a problem, it made me think of something. My pool is all around concrete. Concrete bottom, concrete walls. The shell is solid and aside from few hairline cracks seems almost water tight. I asked the installer if this could be...

sharp objects under the new liner in the deep end

sharp objects under the new liner in the deep end

he measured the pool. i thought he was a little sloppy, but i hoped he knew what he was doing. i told him afterwards that i thought the size was a bit off and he said the manufacturers typically make it smaller a little to avoid wrinkles. it's not a single rock under, the whole hopper is like...
