Following because I have the exact same scenario. Have about 12” more to go before I turn off the hose. I’m in MN so it’s too cold to start heating (well, for my budget anyway). Is there an order I add stuff? I was thinking I’d start with the salt, then cya, then chlorine.

The water table isn't higher than our pool (no water when they dug down and installed it). I'd rather avoid draining the pool. That'd be even more expensive than bleach I think.

Yes, I knew the stabilizer addition was a mistake, I must not have made it clear for my dad to not do that. What can I use instead of liquid chlorine? I can't find any and I know there is CYA in dichlor.
