K-1766 Taylor Test Kit...according to pool math I think I need to drain about 20-25% to get it down around 2600ppm...I've been creeping on the SWG pages and that sounds like the sweet spot for my SWG.

Finally...I believe I am done slamming! Water is clear, CC was 0, and OCLT was a success! So, I know to let the FC drive back down...but what do I do about the SWG shutting off and throwing a high salt code? My K-1766 Taylor Salt Water Test kit will be here Monday. Will it be ok for the next...

Update...I've got to be close! CYA level shows to be at 70...why has it continued to climb? That takes the slam level to 28...gotta go buy more bleach I guess....I could finally see the bottom today, got another good vacuum I...tried my SWG again for giggles and it's still throwing the high...

1 week in...been brushing at least 1 time per day and vacuuming every day I'm not at work...I dont have the best vacuum I feel like, but I did it again today after shutting the pump off for a couple of hours before doing it (hoping for things to settle on bottom). I could see a visible...

Will CYA measurement be correct while slamming? Just checked it, 50ppm, still feels like there's some product left in the sock...FC just checked in at 13 this AM. Getting ready to vacuum, but do see new algae growth on pool light that has been scrubbed a few times now. Do I need to bump FC up...

Copy...adding 24 oz. now. I did check the CYA...appeared to be close to 30 ppm now. Do I leave the sock in the skimmer or should I pull it out? It appears to still have some in it. Thanks again.

Well we are first time above ground pool owners, and me being me I had to upgrade things from the start. Thankfully I was introduced to this forum and have been lurking for a bit. We bought the 14'x42" Ultra Frame, then added a 1050 GPH sand filter, then bought a used CS8110 SWG and the deluxe...
