Sad...may not be able to do pool this year.

I have had two intex pools for a total of 5 years. I love setting up and taking care of my little pool for 2 or 3 months every summer. My next door neighbors, who also had an intex of their own, moved this winter and their house sold fast. New neighbors have little ones, a 3 year old and two...

Adapting 1 1/4 pool hose to Intex vacuum head

Have you tried it out yet? I just posted something about what kind of vacuum I should get for a smaller intex pool. I just might try this!

What's a decent vacuum for smaller pump?

Hi, I have always used the water hose vacuum "splasher vac" but am ready to get something that doesn't add more water to the pool. I have a 1000/gph Intex pump. What vacuum can I get? I've read mixed reviews on both the intex vacuum for smaller pools and the skooba small pool vac. Thanks...

How to connect two intex pumps to use at the same time?

Glad I asked...Thanks everyone! The bigger pump is fine for now, and I'll just keep the small one for backup just in case. Just started filling today, yay!

How to connect two intex pumps to use at the same time?

Hi, I have a 12x36 intex frame pool. For the first year, I used the pump that came with the pool. Not sure exactly but I believe it was less than 1000 gal/hr. Not as good as I wanted but I tested and adjusted my water daily and never had water issues. After that a friend who had a bigger...

Sharp Rock under Intex Frame Pool Can I use side wall patch?

Re: Sharp Rock under Intex Frame Pool Can I use side wall pa Either patch material with the underwater glue will work well. I had a couple holes in my first intex and the patch job I did held up great. It's still early in the season, and since there's a possibility of more rocks working their...

Help with leveling on the cheap!

Is there any way you can dig to level instead of level with sand? Everybody here is going to tell you not to level with sand but to dig your high areas to match the low. As far as an alternative to pavers, someone on here previously posted a setup where they used somewhat thin (1/4 inch thick)...

    Yet another paver question...advice, please!

Hi, I am a five-year intex owner and really wanting to do it right this year. I have my ground level, pavers buried. My question is after layering tarp, foam board, then another tarp, what is the best way to keep track of where the pavers are so that when I set up the pool the legs are at the...

Moving can our pool be empty and taken with us 12x36 summer

Re: Moving can our pool be empty and taken with us 12x36 sum Yeah, I don't quite get that...These pools are made to be taken down each season. Just be sure the liner is totally dry before you fold it up, keep track of all the pieces, and make sure nothing punctures it in the moving process.

    Our little pool...

These pictures are from last year, but we just got the pool up and running for the season yesterday. I was lucky enough to find this forum 3 years ago when we got this pool, and have done BBB ever since, without ever a water issue (even with the Intex little pump.)

Question about using foam insulation under liner

Hi! I have put up my Intex 12' X 36" pool for the past three years on the leveled ground with a layer of sand, a tarp, then the pool. Although I haven't had anything rip through, I found several rocky soil places that bothered me last year and had me worried all summer. This year I am...

Small Holes in Above Ground Pool

I made lots of mistakes with my 1st intex pool, which resulted in several tears. Underwater repair patch kit (at any pool store) works great. No doubt it can mend your holes.

Intex frame pool on unlevel ground?

You have to level your ground. No way around it. My first intex frame pool was about 2" off all summer. While no catastrophe happened, the extra pull frame bent the frame over time and it was unusable the next season. Plus I was always worried about it. Now, our pool spot is level. Take...

    Landscaping Around an Intex Pool

That's what I thought it was. Thanks. I have the blue tarp underneath my intex sticking out and it looks ugly! The landscape fabric looks much more natural there. I'm thinking of how to do things a little differently next season!

Need a good vacum intex 2500 gph pump

Hey, I also had the hose vac that came w the intex. Sucks. I bought the "spa and splasher pool vac" for 30 bucks at Walmart and it works great. It's also a hose vac but much better designed. Picks up great. Laura

    leveling after pool is filled

You'll be glad you went through the hassle of draining this early in the season. Get it really level. Dig the high side, don't fill the low. It will be more stable that way. Again, learn from my mistakes!!!
