I am not sure who invented the lid to this unit but it has absolutely no grip when trying to open it. The small tabs on the side just cause you to lose your grip and punch the filter. Does anyone know of a tool that could use to remove this lid? I was debating on buying a belt wrench to help...

I guess my question was is there a concentrated way to test low cya, when I tested it was below 30 and unable to tell what it is exactly. If I could get a concentrated number like 40 I could half it and know it was 20. Does that make sense??

Is there a way to do a concentrated cya test? I only have enough for one test left. Can I half the amounts and then just half the total?

Yes this morning I corrected it back to 12 and then I will recheck again around 8pm and readjust chlorine back to 12 . Currently I am vacuuming the algae up and will continue running filter. I did buy pool stabilizer and will add alittle to it after the slam hopefully getting it to 40 slowely.

You could be right I mean I fill that area up to the top around 20 and still sort of see the dot when testing cya. Last year my cya was 110 this year it might be 10 lol . That cya test is so subjective I don't think I ever seen that dot truly ever disappear

I use a Taylor k2006 test kit. My pH is 7.4, alk 90, cya 20ish hard to tell with this test kit but it's around 20, FC 3.5 and CC 0.
