    Green Pool, Perfect Chemistry

I have brushed it at least once a day. It's getting only slightly better each day.

I can try. Nothing really budges when I brush over it. I'll try vacuuming it.

Hey everyone. I am guessing this is just stubborn algae? I am soooooo close to being done with SLAM. I can even finally see my bottom drains.

    Green Pool, Perfect Chemistry

Re: Green Pool, Perfect Chemistry I am almost done with SLAM. I should've checked my FC before I added water just now and didn't. How soon after water is added can I check? My FC number was 26 about 230 and is 14 just now. I'm hoping the new water needs to circulate a bit and i can check it...

    Green Pool, Perfect Chemistry

Re: Green Pool, Perfect Chemistry What a difference a day makes. I got 2 SLAM does in yesterday evening and got up at 7 to test before the sun comes up. Although I groaned at my alarm going off, I had high hopes that progress had been made. I was super excited at the visual results and even...

Re: Green Pool, Perfect Chemistry Well I got so excited about slam that I put the first dose in without lowering the ph. Should I go ahead and try to lower it based on hat ot was it keep slamming instead?

    Green Pool, Perfect Chemistry

Re: Green Pool, Perfect Chemistry I didn't start SLAM. I wasn't sure if that's what my next step would be based on my test results. I just redid my test results because those are from Sunday, but the results are almost identical.

Re: Green Pool, Perfect Chemistry I did get the test. I posted results above, but no one answered. Here they are again. I used the Tk-100 kit. Here are my results FC = 8 CC = 0 TA = 143 CH = 375 CYA = 40 pH = 7.6 We also vacuumed from the pool to waste for almost 2 hours yesterday, and...

    Green Pool, Perfect Chemistry

Hey yall. Hoping for some help. My pool looks green, but my water is clear and chemicals are good. How is that possible. I've tried brushing and vacuuming it too, but I can't see the bottom, and I'm worried about scratching the liner. How can I get the water clear enough to see to the bottom? My...

Is there anyway to do this without one of those kits? I really need to get started, but it will take two days for a test kit to get here, and I really don't have the extra money to spend since I just bought a new turbo cell. Any advice on how to get started without a test kit?

We are still trying to open it from winter when it was uncovered the whole time. Now we haven't been generating chlorine for a while, so although we have killed algae once, it is starting to come back. It doesn't look horrible, just has a green tint to it, and it is cloudy.

Okay y'all thanks for the advice. My salt cell failed two tests at the pool store, so I have one on order. What do you suggest in the meantime? Bleach every day, and then once the cell goes in, how long should it take to start seeing progress and maybe have a nice pool again? Should I keep...

I have a Hayward super pump. Not sure if that's a variable speed pump or not. No. The aquarite is not on a timer. I just recalibrated again because the two lights were on solid again. - - - Updated - - - The cell is 4 years old. I just did the diagnostics again. When it hit 3600 I did the up...

I have Hayward Aqua Rite, and the reading on it and the reading from my pool store/test strips don't match. My system says salt is at 2100 sometimes. After a day or so, it drops to 1400 and the inspect cell light and check salt light are solid. I know this means nothing is generating. I can...
