    Water Level Sensors

I understand that this thread has been quiet for a while, but I wanted to close the loop with what I have done. I tried the e-Tape but found trying to put the whole package together was a stretch for me... I found a place in Canada that sells a wireless or wired water level sensor that uses...

MasterTemp heater not heating to set limit

I think it is working... but don't want to jinx it! I ended up with a new circuit board and the problems have gone away... When nothing else makes sense I guess you have to look at the thing that is supposed to be smart... Many thanks @ajw22 for your time and comments - without you and this...

MasterTemp heater not heating to set limit

But in these broken supply chains not quite as fast! I actually have a few, but my son was working on a project... and took all of them. Some days...

MasterTemp heater not heating to set limit

In this new era, it was easier to get a new thermister than a resistor - no more Radio Shacks on the corners. I got a "generic" and put it in - first time it heated up accurately and didn't stumble on the 97 degree barrier. I know that this isn't a permanent solution but I am going to give it...

MasterTemp heater not heating to set limit

It is the heater that is off... I used a laser thermometer and a "cooking" one to verify. I set it to 104 to get it past the 98 sticking point. I bought Pentair - through an on-line pool equipment dealer, so it probably is. The other things that I replaced were also Pentair but through a...

MasterTemp heater not heating to set limit

Exhaust stack flue temp got to 326 before shutting off. The temp on the heater panel was 4 degrees higher (at 104 the spa was 100).

MasterTemp heater not heating to set limit

I did not put that comment in... apologies. I tested the exhaust temp (using the 10 sec "ON" button) earlier in the week and it was at about 280 - 300. On getting your response (thanks again!) I ran the heater and the water temp went to 102 without coaxing... and the heater exhaust was at 200...

MasterTemp heater not heating to set limit

Update... unfortunately. The new thermistor apparently wasn't the problem - or the full problem - as I once again have a discrepancy between the reported temp on the heater and the AquaLink. @ajw22 mentioned next the thermal regulator. Being the weekend and no local pool supply houses having...

MasterTemp heater not heating to set limit

@ajw22 - You were right - thermistor was the problem. Replaced old and the heater worked! Interestingly, the old thermistor had been replaced (5+ years ago) and visually was in good shape. Learned my lesson (again) - don't rely on how old something is or how it looks! Thanks again! -J

MasterTemp heater not heating to set limit

I am at a loss... I am fairly handy but pool equipment is certainly not a strength. My pool repair company is not responding and I use the spa daily - so I am trying to get the heater to run in their absence. Parts may be an adventure this close to year-end but I have to get thru the first...

    Water Level Sensors

Oh my!!! This is going to be interesting! If I can get it to work it will be fun... otherwise, to quote the great philosopher, "Here's another nice mess you've gotten me into!" - Oliver Hardy of Laurel and Hardy. I read the Hackster post that was part of @jonpcar 's response to My New...

    Water Level Sensors

I invited him to the conversation. I have searched IOT devices but not found anything after a quick dive... looks like it is time to go deeper.

    Water Level Sensors

JJ Tex - yes I tried putting an Arlo out there, but when well watched the pool does not mis-behave. It gains my trust and I slack off my supervision and it turns and bites me. It is a very vindictive pool! When I bought the house the pool had been neglected by absentee snowbirds - no...

    Water Level Sensors

I got to believe that this is possible, but figuring out the best path is becoming a head scratcher. My pool has a negative edge with a seven-foot drop. The pool has a fill valve at the bottom of the trough with the simple float to turn the water on/off. When the float valve broke water went...

    iAquaLink problems & eero mesh

Glad the info helped... my iAqualink connection has been pretty consistent since September - minor "Offline" issues but nothing severe enough to plow more time into the connection - too many other things demanding attention!

    iAquaLink problems & eero mesh

Learned a lot - probably more than I thought possible - from this site. Up until now have been reading and listening to others - nothing to contribute. I read a number of posts about problems connecting the eero mesh router because I had been having intermittent connection problems. Before...
