    Tagelus/Pac-Fab TA-60 handle positions?

If you look at my pic above your post: 9 o'clock position is the input flow from the pump (to the left) of where standing to take the picture. 12 o'clock is the gauge. 3 o'clock is the backwash output. 6 o'clock in the return to the pool. My equipment pad is 10' feet from my pool which is...

How To Hide My Equipment Pad?

Thanks...The equipment is completely shaded which was my primary concern. During the winter I disassemble most of the equipment and store it in the pool house. Not much rain protection but it's sure nicer to look at...Plus it keeps little ones from being near the hot motor!

    Tagelus/Pac-Fab TA-60 handle positions?

I made some changes to my settings and what I think to be better use of the colors...Green should be for go...Duh what was I thinking? :hammer:

How To Hide My Equipment Pad?

This post is long over due...I thought I updated it. Here's what I came up with...The boards are spaced with large gaps for air flow. There are 2 hinged boards for access to valves and such for start up or vacuuming. This board has a spring to keep the wind from opening it. Plenty of...

    Is my impeller bad?

How did you remove the impeller? My impeller is spinning freely on the motor shaft. Edit - I figured it out, the impeller plastic separated from the metal center of the impeller...I apologize that my first search wasn't thorough.

    Pump Repair/Replacement - General Upgrades

That was it...I'm up and running! Thanks! Yes...Get a timer. I run my pump in the night and it shuts down just before the sun hits it. If I want to manually run my system I just flip the switch.

    Pump Repair/Replacement - General Upgrades

Yeah for sure...An earwig blew a capacitor in my AC unit one year. I guess they like nesting on warm switches. I replaced it myself for $20. Can a pump be lubed or is it not necessary? Will clearing it out with my air compressor be good enough? Thanks

    Pump Repair/Replacement - General Upgrades

I think you might have just saved me $500...I disconnected the pump last night and looked it over in the shop but didn't do anything. After reading your quote I just went and tried turning the screw...Mine has some mechanical switch covering the screw so I slipped a small pair of channel locks...

Sad they have to drain the pool...

Julie, Can I ask how much this part of the project cost? Were they builders or renovators? Thanks.

How To Hide My Equipment Pad?

Looking for ideas as how to conceal my pool equipment. Pad size = 4' X 6'. My thoughts for hiding the equipment: I'm not to concerned about the "noise" because I run the pump during the night hours (unless we have a heavy swim). My concern is protecting the equipment from the sun (and maybe...

How do I seal damaged threads on 2" pump housing outlet?

There was a small inner ledge for the o-ring to sit on.

Our neighbors expect an invitation to swim...

My family & I just had our first summer in our new (old) house with our first pool. We bought a home in an established neighborhood with an in-ground pool. We haven't had any neighbors ask or even hint about using our pool. We've been intrusted with a key to one of the neighbor's home...

How do I seal damaged threads on 2" pump housing outlet?

This was awesome advice...I applied the "Triple Threat" yesterday after almost giving up on stopping a slow drip where the PVC exits the pump. I did change the application to the following: Great White dope on the male threads. 2 wraps of Teflon tape over the dope. 1 o-ring inside the threaded...

New To Me Pool...What Do All These Pipes Do?

I got my KK to work last nite after posting my last response. Mine works via the skimmer and yes I had to block off the other skimmer...The KK is awesome. As for the "shocking" I think I did it right but I'll review...Still relying on the pool store 1 mile from me for the chemicals but I'll get...

New To Me Pool...What Do All These Pipes Do?

No The pool came with 2 "Kreepy Kraulys". I tried one hooked to the skimmer inlet and it didn't work...Makes sense now. Maybe there was a booster at one time...Hence the closed wiring boxes next to the pipe. Here's the actual pool...I just discovered yesterday that I've been "recirculating"...

New To Me Pool...What Do All These Pipes Do?

Hi all...New pool owner here with questions. I called City Hall today to see if there was any info on record of when my pool was built. Nope. Maybe someone here could help with some basics: House built in 79. Tagelus filter dated 2004. Gunite in-ground pool 16' X 40'-ish. Pump/Filter...

    Tagelus/Pac-Fab TA-60 handle positions?

I had the same trouble...I bought a house with a pool and the sticker was partially missing. Unfortunately for me I read some wrong info off the internet (hard to believe right?) and I just discovered yesterday after 3 weeks of running my system 24/7 (and changing the sand) trying to clear up...
