Liner failure at 2.5 years -- GLI warranty?

My guess would be the coping provides some shade / relief just as the water helps keep the liner cooler. If my dolphin cleaner was affecting the liner above the water line, why wouldn’t it have rubbed the pattern off all the way around the edge instead of the two corners that get the most sun...

Liner failure at 2.5 years -- GLI warranty?

I submitted photos and serial number to GLI. 2 out of 4 corners have almost 100% fading above the water line. These two opposing corners receive the most sun (sun set and sunrise) so my PB believes the liner is failing prematurely due to UV exposure with it being a dark liner getting full...

New IG Pool Build - Cincinnati (northern Kentucky) - please advise

Really enjoyed the pool this weekend! - used robot for the first time, did great - learned that my SWG and heat pump like a minimum of 2700 RPM on the pump to register the correct amount of salt and for the minimum pressure on the heat pump. I may need to add an intermatic timer to SWG if I...

New IG Pool Build - Cincinnati (northern Kentucky) - please advise

Filling her up, vacuum phase. PB told me to fill up until it reaches bottom of first step. I guess they come back out to cut holes for light, skimmer, etc. Do I need to let this vacuum fan run all night now that there is at least 6 to 8 inches of water in the pool, or can I shut it off?

New inground pool almost done -- 13k gallons - initial settings?

Liner is being installed now, so we're getting ready for water. 14 x 28 pool, 3.5 to 5.5 deep, pool calculators showing that is around 13k gallons I was planning on putting in 300 pounds of pool salt (does that sound right for 13k gallons?) Looking for any general advice for initial setup for...

How did you pay for your pool?

Paying cash from work bonus... I am grateful to be able to do this. Because we didn't want to go into debt for a pleasure expense like this we didn't go crazy... will be spending about $35k by time everything is said and done. EDIT: Also, after negotiating price... DIY Pool Electric --- Adding 100 amp subpanel for pool pump, heat pump, light

So I spoke with an electrician today that is a friend-of-a-friend to run my general plan by him and he immediately told me using SER (either 1-1-1-3 Aluminum or 3-3-3-5 Copper) would be out of code because pool subpanel / equipment would require an insulated ground... and the ground inside SER...

DIY Pool Electric --- Adding 100 amp subpanel for pool pump, heat pump, light

PB was one that inspired me, said our area I can write “self” as installed for electric inspection, no license needed. Apparently copper is easier to maneuver so I may go that route. As long as my variable pump, heat pump etc are all by the sub panel, the only cable that needs to be buried is...
