    Digging out a buried pool

This is awesome, I hope you can uncover the pool and get it serviceable again. I would plan to spend twice as long, and twice as much as what you may have already budgeted...lol :laughblue: But I am rooting for you!

    Polywood Furniture

@therealschwartz Loose and wobbly, huh? Is this something you have contacted Polywood about? If so, what was their response? I'd hate to have a chair just fall apart as someone starts to sit down...ouch.

    Polywood Furniture

It sure is! Somebody got a little too happy with assembly on that one, haha. I contacted Polywood through the Chat function on their website. The process couldn't have been easier. An AI bot asked some general questions in order to get me to the right person (and I assume for that person to...

    Polywood Furniture

Polywood showed up yesterday. We initially bought a painted metal table and chairs. Unfortunately, they started to peel, crack, and rust after only two seasons. I decided it would not be worth the effort to maintain them properly as times passes. I'd rather be in the pool, or just hanging...

    Polywood Furniture

That doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. Tracking shows our order should be here Wednesday. I hoping I don't run into any issues with fitment.

    Polywood Furniture

I don't have any experience with them directly, but I've seen Sunbrella get recommended quite a bit. I just received tracking info for our first Polywood order. I'll post some pics once it gets here and is assembled. We have a section of seating that is "built-in" and I'm having some cushions...

    New Gas Heater Choice

I just pulled up my account online. September was my highest month at $140 total (fees and all), and October was $35. We ended up not swimming much into October and beyond last year. May last year was $11. We got warm weather early and I use a solar cover and the pool gets full sun 90% of...

    New Gas Heater Choice

We have an 18x36 in ground. I use a solar cover when we're not in the pool, and we get full sun for 90% of daylight hours (so that helps a bunch). For the shoulder months I try to get the temp to 88 and I'll only run the heater as needed. If we're having friends and family over sometimes I'll...

    Air in return

I'm debating it for sure. My FC control (and overall balancing of the pool) is pretty simple as is, although simpler is always better! haha. Investing in a new fence and some polywood furniture this year as well....

    Air in return

Yes, I am definitely thinking the MPV repair is temporary. Our equipment is old and we were unable to get any history and/or purchase info from the PO when we bought our house because the husband had already passed away and his wife just didn't know. I've put in a new liner and a gas heater so...

    Bubbles on output

I would check for possible cracks in the area of the multiport valve where the pressure gauge screws in. I'd also take a look at your o-rings (and add lube as needed) on all of your drain plugs. Hope this helps. (y)

    Air in return

I've got a few minor bubbles coming out of the returns. After a little bit of initial investigating I've found a crack in the multiport valve where the pressure gauge threads in. I'm going to try a "melt" repair with a soldering iron. I also plan to put some more o-ring lube on all of the...

    Annoying flies

Yes, they definitely work and do stink! I've got three of the big ones and I place them at least 30-40 feet from where we'll be. I'm honestly conflicted on if they help or not. It's almost like they attract even more flies, haha. Double-edged sword for sure.

    Annoying flies

Thanks! I'm going to try this out. I've got some fly traps now that come with a bag of granules and I'm sure those were just an overpriced version of this. I didn't even think/know about the fogger idea. I'm definitely going to try that as well. I can't stand having flies around when...

Recommendations for deck staining and maintenance.

I did quite a bit of research a few years back. We did some custom wood benches around our outdoor seating area and wanted to stain them, but didn't want to deal with the wear and peeling that most experience after a few years. I found this old school method of protecting and waterproofing...

    Trusted vendors?

Thank you! I'll need to call them as suggested, but their advertised price is even a little cheaper than American Best - Pool Supply Unlimited - link

    Trusted vendors?

Yes - I'm sorry I did not update the links to change the product, but the vendors remain the same and that was my main concern. ETA: Links have been updated.

    Trusted vendors?

Thank you all! I have edited my original post because I realize I do NOT need the LoNox version, and also after running some numbers with Raypak's heater sizing tool, the R336A will be plenty sufficient for my needs.

    Trusted vendors?

I apologize if I missed a section of the forum. I'm in the market for a NG heater, and the Raypak R407 ETA: the R336A is what I'm leaning towards. I know INYO pools is a trusted vendor but I've found it much cheaper at two other sites, and INYO cannot price match. It is too good to be true...

    Mosaic liner pattern question!

Haha - he's a curious one for sure, and he's still a puppy. He usually just supervises, but when Wall-E breaks the surface to clean the tile line he'll go over and sniff the tracks. It's hilarious.
